Yes, you have to play until the timer runs out.

It was a pretty good game, but I'll probably wait till it drops to about 20$ before I buy it.

This, i mean all of the previous games would just unlock the item/content on all 3 platforms when obtained.

Personally since i'm gonna be playing KoA:R on PC (where i played the demo) and Mass Effect 3 on 360.

It seems likely that ill have to play through the KoA:R demo again on 360 and then pick up the PC version of the mass effect demo to ensure my unlocks go to the right place.

Is it too much to ask that it unlocks the content for all 3 platforms ?

Finally. I got the second half of the crossover promotion. This was frustrating as I had to play the demo 3 times. I ended up restarting my xbox and then going back into the demo for the third round. It worked and I now can move on with that horrible obsession

Managed to find a solution over on their website and get the Chakram Launcher for ME3. Looks like I'm going to have to make a Xena Shepard.

After it crashed on me the first time so the second time I just put the controller down and watched tv until the 20 minute warning an then let it sit the remaining 20 minutes.

This is lame. First time I booted it up I unlocked the armor, but then I went into the games setting to change the resolution since it defaulted to the wrong one. It told me it has to restart the game to apply this. So I did now every time I try to get into the game it says it cannot connect to the EA servers.

This is why DRM is bad. It doesn't actually work but causes totally unrelated issues like the one I am having.

Same here. Anyone have a solution? I managed to connect and unlock everything yesterday, but this kept happening today.

Well, just finished the demo and got the items!

I've liked the game (it's from Big Huge Games, the makers of the greatest RTS from all time!) but it's not likely I will buy it when it launches.

I liked KOA.... but I may get it when it is cheaper, possibly for my birthday

OK i fixed the problem with not being able to get into the EA servers AND set my resolution properly.

Go to Documents -> My Games -> Reckoning

Open personal.ini and set display width and display height to your proper resolution, and delete the line that has your EA account email address. Save the file and close it.
Now delete the .cache file that has your email addy in its filename

Now run the game and you will have to login and accept the terms of service etc. again but you will have the right resolution and can start playing without changing the game options.

By the way, you can't alt-tab to let the timer run out It pauses the timer when you do so.

One thing I am impressed with is their seamless 360 controller support on PC. if you start using mouse and keyboard, it automatically switches to that interface and control scheme. As soon as you touch the 360 controller it automatically switches to that seamlessly. I hope bioware does this for ME3 but since both ME1 and ME2 didn't support the controller I'm not holding my breath.

I've tried the demo on the PS3 as well, and I quite like the feel of a controller. Might start using a controller since I'll be getting the PC version of the full game later on. Camera control seems better on the PC though.

So, I played the demo. Got two messages about Mass Effect 3 items (one at the start, one at the end) but there is only one item (Reckoner-Knight) showing up in my registered game content. Shouldn't there be two?

Should be two. Maybe you got disconnected before the 45minute was over.
