Something weird I've encountered...

First time I played through on Normal, I got the little statement about feeling Morrigan's sorrow because of the ring I wore etc... even though at the end of the game, I did not use the ring, and was not wearing it before walking out to meet the crowds.

Second play through on Nightmare with the same character (Human Mage), I never got that. Although I never wore that ring EXCEPT in the very last archdemon fight...

Does anyone know what the criteria to get the blurb about Morrigan's ring? Because it just doesn't seem to have to do with you wearing it. Maybe it should just be in your inventory?

When you get arrested in the Royal Palace, Morrigan will tell the others that she has a way to track you down.

One slight problem - I wasn't arrested during both play-throughs.. I killed that group on both difficulties.

That is strange... maybe the check is earlier than the archdemon fight? My character wore Morrigan's ring the whole game and I got a blurb about their connection in my epilogue.

To get the blurb, you have to complete the romance, accept her proposal, and talk to her again afterwards. The final conversation drops her to friendly, to note, but it triggers the "ring" epilogue.

ah - gotta talk to her again afterwards. I did everything except talk to her again after she refused to sleep with me
