"MASS EFFECT FIGURES - SERIES 01, 02 - SETS, SINGLES
The Mass Effect figures are once again up for pre-order, with Big Fish
taking over where DC Direct left off. Both Series 01 and Series 02 are
available again, with the sets of four going for $67.99 each ($12 off
MSRP), and singles of all eight figures listed at $17.99 each. The
upcoming shipment will also include bonuses - each character includes
updated photos, character bio, storyline, and logo, and is packaged with
Mass Effect 3 branding. Each has a pack-in card and bonus downloadable
in-game content, which is exclusive and different for each character.
"

Okay...that's new to me. Can anyone clarify?

"Content". Well, they certainly are vague as to what you're getting, aren't they?

Well, it says that it's exclusive and different for each character, so it could be in-game outfits.

Yay, more exclusive promo items. :(

And while a have a weak spot for fine crafted collectable figurines, I won't be buying any of these, since they look absolutely terrible. Slightly better than the 1st series, but still terrible.

It says the generation one figures that are already out have extra DLC. Has anybody who has bought one confirm this?

For example it says the Thane figure has DLC.

How would this work when only one of those charcters is a squaddie? :/

I'm intrigued to hear more about this though!

What say you Bioware? :)

It could be different items for different characters. Some could be weapons, some could be outfits and some could be armor pieces for Shepard.

Though, I really hope that's not the case, because that would suck a lot for those who wants it all and aren't interested in these figures.

I'm curious what we'd be getting for the Shepard figure...

If that's true, then that really sucks for people that have already bought the Series 1 figures. <_<

Wow, yeah, that would suck tremendously. Perhaps people who did could e-mail bioware and possibly get DLC codes sent to them if they send proof of purchase?

A far as I can tell, the older ones dont have the codes but who knows with the next reissue of them.

Would you rather it be exclusive guns and armor pieces?

Those are some expensive action figures. Almost 20 bucks a pop for a toy and maybe a palette swapped outfit in-game? Not worth it, IMO, but to each their own.

I guess they're only for the really dedicated people. I won't buy them, though. That kind of money can be better used somewhere else.

"General Safety Warning: Products sold by BBTS may be intended for Adult Collectors. Products may contain sharp points, small parts, choking hazards, and other elements not suitable for children under 16 years old."

Merchant opinions of consumer intelligence are getting lower and lower....:?

Depends on the gamestop store (I know my local EB did get a few ME toys in a while back), I know my local comic shop is going to try to get them in (just got off the phone to them to check), and mightyape (an online store here) has gotten in most of the previous Dragon Age and Mass Effect toys/coasters/models.
