Well, I guess that's good for those who like those figures.

"Content". Well, they certainly are vague as to what you're getting, aren't they?

Well, it says that it's exclusive and different for each character, so it could be in-game outfits.

Oh brother, and here I already bought all the figures in Series 1. <_<

If they bring out a new ME3 outfit for Tali, I am screwed.... cause knowing me, I'll buy that figure again just for that kind of in-game content. :pinched:

EDIT: On second thought, the hell with that -  I'm not buying a second set of Series 1 figures for some new DLC. <_<

Wait, so since I preordered them in the bioware store like a month ago, does that mean I get these bonuses too? :o that would be awesome!!!

The re-issue of the series one figures is also posted on the Bioware store. From what I can gather, the Series 1 figures are just being re-issued with new packaging for ME3. The Bioware store doesn't mention anything about DLC yet for either series 1 or 2. I pre-ordered series 2 from the Bioware Store over a month ago, and I have series 1 already.

As an owner of the three non-Shepard figures from the first set, it would be highly annoying for them to suddenly add codes to the new ones that people who already own them can't get without forking out for another set.

Overall I'm not particularly happy with the way BioWare is going about the DLC for ME3. Silly cross-promotions with other EA games, then retailer exclusives and now this. Judging from some vague comments it seems that I can't get certain DLC unless I own an iPad or something too, or I need to sign up to a crappy game on Facebook, etc.

The real crappy thing is you will almost certainly have to open them to get the codes, so now you have to buy 2 sets!

Glad I don't collect the darn things, so I don't care if they are mint or not.

I wouldn't order 2 sets either just to keep one in the packaging, I was just pointing it out :) Since I already opened my Series 1 figures, and I was going to open my Series 2 anyhow, its no big deal. The crappy thing is the DLC in the re-issue of Series 1 for folks who already have those. I hate to admit it, but if the DLC is decent enough, I would consider re-buying some or all of the Series 1 figures.

Maybe try e-mailing them and asking if they can send you the codes if you send in proof of purchase?

If something like that were availble I would deffinately take advantage of it, but I doubt that it would be offered.

You never know until you've tried. Usually customer service reps want their customers to be happy and just asking will just cost you some time.

I talked to a guy that gave me a heads up last year before Bioware put the figures up in the store. He confirmed that this is what the distributors are advertising.

So there are DLC codes for ME3 inside those packages, then?

He's calling a rep tomorrow to confirm, but this is basically what Diamond is saying.

So is he calling diamond, bioware, or the people who make the figures?

I am not pleased by this. The tie in DLC is really getting out of hand.

The incentive to play the Kingdom of Amalur demo was fine because the demo doesn't cost you anything.  The retailer exclusive DLC was irritating; but I was prepared to live with it.

But this is just crossing the line. I don't collect figurines and even if I did I couldn't justify spending $150 bucks.

PS: I do collect Pez Dispensers, Bioware should really release some Mass Effect Pez Dispensers.

You know what I'd love to get from BioWare?

A complete game. Just for once that would be positively lovely.

Any news on this yet? I'm curious as well. I wasn't planning on getting any of them, as they seem rather over priced right now, but this might sway me if the DLC is interesting.

Diamond.

No additional info.  It wasn't explained what the content is, or if it differs per character.  The card is supposed to be different for each character, though.

For those who don't follow these kinds of things, I'd surmise that if the figure's hit in April, we may need to wait until late April depending on how this plays against Chinese New Year.

Definately buy this. I already have one John Sheppard figure (the one who flies a puddlejumper and has the ATA gene) so I figure he can stand in for Sheploo

I would be seriously PO'ed. I just stopped collecting action figures last year, and these figures don't even really meet my standards for the price. An extra outfit wouldn't be a big deal to me since most of the characters just have cameos/temporary squaddie staus anyway, but taking out dialogue to make it an extra for a product that isn't even ME3 related would severely anger me.
I know it's not at all likely, but neither is alternate outfits for people who aren't squaddies. How would you apply the outfit if they're never in your squad?
