Depends. Is it a dual-phase lightsaber?

EDIT: Also, wouldn't an Omni-blade be feasible as a projectile? Sounds like something an infiltrator would enjoy...

The force and biotics arn't really that comparable outside of being able to lift stuff. They both are VERY different and have different "ideology" behind them. The force for example, is a mystical fantasy element that is also some sort of lifeforce, and afterlife... and whatever else George lucas wants it to be at a given moment. In any case the force can help even non jedi, by helping luck, guiding aim on a blaster, increased aptitude for piloting, etc.

Biotics just allows the user to manipulate ME fields and apparently the Mass of object. (throw in some psuedo telepathy in the case of the asari.) Aside from a few in game oddballs, Biotics are very different from the force.

Although to be fair, darth vader never actually choked anyone, the officers are just pretending to be choked so that vader doesnt ACTUALLY kill them with his lightsaber.

POWERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! UNLIMITED POWERRR!!!!!!

Anyway...a lightsaber would beat an omni-blade but a lightsaber alone wouldn't beat an entire omni tool. Gotta have the Force too.

Don't be too proud of this technological marvel you call Biotics. The ability to use Biotics is insignificant to the potential of the Force.

Way better force powers than that. The choke is rather insignificant compared to other powers like the Thought Bomb or Force Drain. I agree that biotics probably can't challenge force powers in terms of different uses.

Agreed plus stronger individuals could move planets/drain life from an entire planet to increase their own powers.

Actually, George Lucas ruined that too.

Midichlorians. They set it up as awesome space magic, and it's bacteria. Nuts.

Comparison and analysis of the similarities and differences between the two technologies may make for a fine discussion, but as soon as this becomes a "which is better?" or "which would win in a fight?" discussion, it will get closed.

So if I'm understand this correctly, your saying:

Lightsaber beats omni-blade

omni-tool beats lightsaber

the force beats omni-tool

....................
so then I guess biotics beat the force!!!!

HAHA.. Star Wars loses  ME WINS!!!!!!!!!!!!  :alien:

Actually that has changed around too. Midichlorians became an indicator of force ability, not the cause of it. It swings around often but there ya go.

an omi-tool overload would destroy the saber but the actual blade is too short to go against a saber.
As for mass effect vs. force they work differently so a force push and biotic throw would end up with shooting backwards but never meeting. Jedi are strong but gravity always seem stronger.

No it wouldn't. Different tech and computer systems are used in both devices. Omni-Tool wouldn't work against the lightsaber in that regard although incinerate would definitely keep the user busy. Also depending on the Jedi you could get one in which he or she can toss a truck at you. Biotics can to but those are usually high end Biotic users. High end force users can decide space battles.

so basicly that bacteria just thrives in individuals with an high degree of force power making it a reasonable way to measure the potential of force users.

Indeed. Although the very fact George tried to explain the force at all was terrible. If you go into star wars, and are unable to accept the concept of the force, you either don't want to watch the movie to begin with, or the movie didn't do enough to draw you in to its universe to begin with.

FYI guys, Lightsabers don't generate heat. It's been apart of Lightsaber lore from the beginning. They are a paradox in that sense they cut/cauterize/burn through anything but the blade itself doesn't emit heat.

Think about it, if an energy blade capable of cutting through anything as shown in the films actually generated heat not only would it burn the wielder to a cinder but it would probably melt the emitter without some considerable heating vents or sinks. Lightsabers have neither.

They would also give superman a nice boost, or weaken him if red.

Well that is obvious. We do know that Lightsabers are almost as retarded as the freaking force is and can be rather inconsitent.
