No replays?
I rly enjoyed playing mass effect first on normal difficulty then when I'm familiar with the game use my character and all his skills and weapons to replay on hard and so on.
I am a bit sad they don't have it in DA:O
Replays?

I hope we've learnt that, just because the site is being slow, we don't need to press the post button a million times.
To answer your question... yes, no NG+. I can't remember exactly why, but the basics is that it just doesn't work for your character to start off already at level 20+.

Probably because the enemies are set in comparison to the players character level, therefore if you had a level 20 at the start, there would be no real scaling in the battles, other than the player altering the difficulty level and so as at the start you might not be playing with a full squad, you might get massacred in the origins stories

sorry about that I didn't think I posted any topics at all I just closed my window because of lagg... But yes I did press a button a million times....
Well I don't know much about scaling but why can't they do the same thing they did in mass effect? (same thing u can see in oblivion)
Enemies are just as tough as your level.
That way you get to play against level 20 enemies from the start.
Also I liked that in mass effect all party members leveled at the same time... In dragon age it is possible for some newcomers to your party to be higher level than you!
That would so hurt my ego! lolz.
Anyways I don't really have any complaints because I know bioware know what they are doing... Its just that I don't entirely understand why they made the choices they did, when mass effect 1 setting would work just as well.
I mean is there any point in having 3-4 experience bars? Its not like player will choose who to level more or less. Is it?
And another thing, since I'm on the subject on what is different from Mass effect.
I also liked my character to have a voice over! I understand some players don't like that, but bioware could at least include an option to toggle that on and off. Otherwise I feel as if I'm mute when playing the game.... (Gordon Freeman style)

@Kempeorlaxan
I still don't think you learned your lesson about the lag. Just click once it's going through.
Anyways I'm pretty sure most companions you meet are supposed to be within a level or two of your character. So it won't ever be that outrageous. And I'm pretty sure this game will have a lot of replay value considering the choices you can make and it having multiple endings.

It's limited scaling meaning enemies in a certain area, or a boss might level 4-8 for example. If you go there early and are level 2 you're in for a fight because the enemies are at minimum level 4. If however you go in late and are level 12 the enemies should be a piece of cake as the highest they are is level 8.
There are no level 20 rats, and there are no level 1 high dragons. If you're level 20 and you see a rat, it dies. If you're level one and you see a high dragon... well you can draw the parallel.

Why would you want to replay the same Character again? when you have other Origins to play through, who may get different choices and you get different dialogue with.
Mass effect was limited to just two quests based on your Character. Origins is based heavily on your character.

And to answer the question why your character is mute and wasn't in Mass Effect. It is because in Mass Effect they had to only create two voice over versions, male and female. In Dragon Age you have three different races, two different genders, and six different origins (wouldn't expect a dwarf noble to sound the same as the lowest of the low casteless dwarf commoner). There is simply too many different voices that they would have to record over the entire course of a game that is, what 60+ hours?, to record all of them.

TBH i'd be kind of disappointed with Bioware if they didn't allow the export of characters like they have with EVERY RPG THEY'VE MADE.
If there's no open console to access either I'll be furious.

So it is not possible to export a character at all like in the DnD games? I can never replay an Origin with an existing character?! And here I thought, DAO would be an enjoyable game... Oh well, it seems the good 'ol days are finally gone.

Yea because you need to play with the same character that you used for over 50 hours in a new playthrough to fully enjoy the game!

YEA I DO... Maybe you just create a playable character out of the ordinary but I identify myself with the characters and simply want to play them as often and as long as I can... I don't expect you to understand...

I just want to max out my chacters talents and skill. without replay I have no hope of ever coming close
In seriousness, I want t chance to go through with the same character and change to choices, of course I could alwalys create a new character with the same everything as the one I just used.
