who would know wrote...

This is the best concept I've seen:

By Maguaii.

Haven't seen this one before...

By the way, the original post might have used a bit more... originality. New threads on a subject discussed rigorously for almost 2 years deserve that.

We can all dream.

They've done it on purpose, to keep us guessing though. If they didn't want us to guess, they could have easily not given them a suit, or put glass instead of a funny colour.

Yeah, that last picture is a little too creepy for my taste. She doesn't need to be an Anime character, but I don't think she should be that (creepy) alien.

Nope. Too lizardy.

Yup. Straight from BioWare's mouth.

From AotMEU:

The salarians were our version of “gray aliens,” but with a nearly concave torso and doglike legs.

Allright then. Lets make Quarians like a more human like version of "grey aliens". Instead of the colored amphibian.

Just merge it with this img63.imageshack.us/img63/3857/liz1.jpg
and it will all turn out well enough.

The second design is okay. Okay-ish. Reminds me too much of the Avatar cat-people, but it's definitely alien. I could see it fit in the ME universe.

The one posted before that? It's a f*cking space elf.

What the hell is wrong with people? You're playing science fiction. If aliens creep you out, if you genuinely can't fathom the possibility of connecting emotionally or even being attracted to one, then maybe you should look somewhere else.

I've heard there is plenty human-centric entertainment media nowadays, maybe they should look into that.

IMO, they look like VERY pale humans with larger noses.
That's all I can gather. Pale cause they never see direct sunlight and Tali's nose (shade/shadow)always seemed a bit large behind the faceplate in ME1.

You can derive anything from the way she looks through that mask. They might not have an pigmentation system that behaves like that of a human and the nose might just appear that way as an effect of optical lensing.

Actually, in real science fiction human-alien intercourse is about as viable as dating an elephant.

You have to consider mixed race people are mixed race due to adaption from to much sunlight, but even when moving to somewhere such as England they stay... Even their children, they wouldn't adapt out of it.

The point is, Quarian's could be green under that suit from the genes and their skin might not have meynaol. In it, which is what makes the skin change colour. (I spelt meynaoloe wrong just saying.)

You can't judge anything really from what they look like from outside of the helmet. It's just a foundation for the developers to build on. They haven't even got a clue what the Quarian's should look like yet. I've been doing some research.

But, I've noticed all different things from different Quarian's along my travels, it never matches up, the only thing that is consistent is the Eyes.

Quarian's are very similar to Human's and possess orphisis, for oral and intercourse.

Mordin comfirms it when you go to see him about advice, and suggests a lot of things to you. :police:

Agreed.
Cybernetics or naturally reflecting light/glowing? I dunno.  We know they have some cybernetics.

I think their eyes are just reflecting.

The fact they're cybernetic is ruled out in my opinion, my Commander Shepard got down and jiggy with that Quarian. They have a suit with cybernetics, they don't actually have cybernetics installed. Just like Shepard, although if Shepards omni-tool is hacked into it gives amount of control. Not too long though.

Overlord - Evidence.

Err, okay. It does depend on which level of science fiction we're talking about. However, in Mass Effect interspecies relations are a thing.

That being said, my point is: except for the Asari, Mass Effect does well in avoiding the "multicolored space people" stand regarding aliens. And creating yet another species cut from the same cloth as the Asari would be just lazy.

My other point was (sorry I get derailed): If you're playing Mass Effect and the only thing you can find hot are humans and Asari, stick to them and don't fall in love with an alien, and then demand they make them more suited to your tastes. Don't freak out at the possibility of them looking like turians.
