As far as I am concerned, romance means obligatory sexual intercourse, otherwise it's called friendship. So, Garros-romancing femsheps are, as KaidanK noted, fetishists, and it isn't really about maturity: it's about bizarre sexual preferences. If Tali ends up looking as alien as the Turians, all Talimancers sort of become involuntary fetishists. Which is wonderfully trollful but hardly the wisest choice of all.

Yes, BUT, since we know NOTHING of how they actually look, that was my best guess.

Obviously, I could be WAY off, but I think my logic is sound enough. I don't think optical lensing would have THAT large an effect.

You have to consider mixed race people are mixed race due to adaption from to much sunlight, but even when moving to somewhere such as England they stay... Even their children, they wouldn't adapt out of it.

The point is, Quarian's could be green under that suit from the genes and their skin might not have meynaol. In it, which is what makes the skin change colour. (I spelt meynaoloe wrong just saying.)

You can't judge anything really from what they look like from outside of the helmet. It's just a foundation for the developers to build on. They haven't even got a clue what the Quarian's should look like yet. I've been doing some research.

As much as people want to say "no more space-elves" or whatever. YOU PERSONALLY may be able to look past the face of an ugly alien, but what about the MILLIONS of other players out there? I don't feel like digging through the rest of the thread, but someone already pointed out that human's are instinctively racist. EVEN WITH OTHER HUMANS. How long did it take for us to finally *somewhat* acknowledge that skin-tone isn't indicative of standing/intelligence?

I will personally handle whatever they throw at me, but do you really think BW is going to throw out some wierd-looking alien face and risk a drawback from customers? I have a picture of a fat, 17 y/o white American throwing his headset on the desk and whining to his mom that Tali is ugly.

All sights of the "Grey Alien" were at night, for all we know they could been a light shade of blue, or an omnius colour not visible to the humans eye.

As the human's eyes wave lenghts don't extend beyond a certain colour schemtrum.

Although, that's not the point. I'm happy with the Salarian's being the "Grey Alien" they look like it, just not the same colour.
Salarians are a naturally scientific race, and condut stealth operations while conduting on of these on earth before we discovered mass relay, it could have been the case that one got seen one time.

Actually everything we know about Quarians suggest they look closer to humans than Turians. Even her face place holder is very close to human. Here from the mass effect wiki:

include a thumb and an index finger, as well as three toes on each foot.
Their lower legs are bowed backwards significantly, compared to asari

That Dextro DNA thing don't mean anything regarding the looks. Look at the Salarians who can eat human food or look at the biodiversity on Earth. They'll probably look something like this.

This image was chosen by Bioware as one of the winners of a fanart competition in SDCC. If they chose that, I think (just a guess) Tali wont be that different from what we see here.

And even in the codex of ME1, it was already stated that Quarians were similar to humans.

I think it'd be good if they looked as human/alien as drell. Thane looks obviously alien, more so than asari, but he looks similar enough to a human (unlike Garrus) to appeal to more people. In theory, anyway.

Also, Grunt said that quarians aren't 'squishy' like humans/asari/salarians, but not as tough as turians, which could indicate drell-sort of skin, I think.

Agreed. Personally on the sliding scale of alien/human appearences while still being at least partially in line with the placeholder face, I would prefer something along the lines of the drell.

The drell are extrememly human but maintain an alien appearence.

No need to be rude about it, dude. I'm aware that she looked like a night elf but I hope it's not the half tenticle headed image on the 1st page. All humanoid aliens in ME share similar traits. All but the Drell have 3 fingers (Drell have 4 since their ring and middle are fuzed) and NONE of them have hair. That's annoying to me.

Her eyes appear to glow anyway as do all Quarian eyes and their face has a very human structure to it. The nuse and eyes look the same. Her profile looks human as well so why not go the extra mile and just make her look like a different colored human with some extra lines on her face of something? There was a different picture I was lookin for but couldn't find.

There won't be a way to please everyone. If she is too humanoid people will complain, if shes too monstrous people will complain. So I wouldnt be surprised if they don't show the face, in fact I think they shouldnt, it would ruin everyones fantasy. If they do show it I hope its blurred like say we see it in the reflection of her helmet so we get the general shape etc but the face itself is distorted enough for individual features not to be distinguished.

Actually I'm not quite fanatical about Tali. I'd rather they didn't show her face at all because I know they won't please all of the fans so I feel it's best to leave it up to the imagination of the player. I posted that picture because that's what I personally would prefer. Since they most likely will show her face though, I'm gearing up for disappointment.

I also don't tend to use realistic analysis when dealing with a game about fighting godly space aliens.

BioWare should show her face and make her attractive, no matter if she's space elf, space cat, or some weird new animal/human hybrid design.
