There is plenty wrong with attractive elves in space.
1) It's cliché and Mary-Sue-ish.
2) It's unrealistic. Mass Effect has already dropped the "science" from "science-fiction", but that doesn't mean they should just completely drop it altogether.
3) It's already done before so it's not even original. I present to you: The Eldar
4) Did I say that it's cliché?

Ah yes, the Mary Sue argument. Because I demand unattractive characters to romance!
Yes, because it's totally possible to explain FTL travel when the theories we have now can't be proven and make less sense then "Mass Effect Fields".
Originality? Your going to argue originality when your top argument is that it's Mary Sue? Stop, before you hurt yourself.
Yes, yes you did. Enough times to show you love to batter people over the head with the word if they even attempt a cliche.

Great straw-man you have there.

Didn't I just say that Mass Effect already pretty much dropped the "science"?
So you ripping on Mass Effect's FTL (something commin in every single sci-fi game) only shows that you don't have any real-argument and that you're totally butt-hurt.

No, the quarians already are damsels in distress without being space-elfs. Them turning into space-elfs would only make it worse.

I think it does, at least their facial features are not 100% the same as humans and asari in that piece of art.
I'm not really picky when it comes to quarian designs. I'm fine with almost anything, as long as it's NOT attractive-night-elf-in-space.
So BioWare, can we pleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaase NOT have attractive-night-elfs-in-space? :innocent: Thank you!

Again, this is why I'm against them showing their faces. Then everybody wins as wel can just imagine what we prefer.
And the only difference between the Asari and the image you posted was their tenticles were longer and that would give us 3 races with tentacles on the backs of their heads.
Also I would prefer 1 of these as well..

The wisest thing to do on their part would be not to reveal what Quarians look like. Ever. But seeing that Mass Effect is taking the Star Wars route, I'm sure we'll soon have a "expanded universe" comic, or short, or anything, in which we get a version of Quarian face that nobody is happy with <_<
Count me in the "no more space humans please" boat. I'd f*cking hate if they looked like Space Elves. There is this fan made art of Tali's face that looks just like that. God, I hate it so much, and I hate how popular it became.
The reasonable thing would be to make Quarians to Turians what Asari are to Humans. I mean, they already share food chemistry, and there is Grunt's comment on them being "not so soft...", so by logic they should have a familiar appearance.
"Quarians have an endoskeleton, lips, teeth, and two eyes with eyelids
and tear ducts; they also have three thick fingers on both hands which
include a thumb and an index finger, as well as three toes on each foot.
Their lower legs are bowed backwards significantly, compared to asari
or humans. Aside from hands and legs, their general body shape and
sexual dimorphism is similar to humans. Their ears or ear analogues
differ in a noticeable fashion from those of humans, with references
made to "what [passes] for the quarian version of an ear".
That Dextro DNA thing don't mean anything regarding the looks. Look at the Salarians who can eat human food or look at the biodiversity on Earth. They'll probably look something like this.
The "alien" Tali face I approve of.

All I'm asking for is NOT space-elfs. Is that too much to ask? Anything else would be good in my opinion, as log as they show their faces. They have to show their faces, they just have to.
As long as they show their faces and they aren't space-elfs, I'm happy.

The asari have perfect human faces. That image I posted from the quarians don't have perfect human faces. They have different eyes and different noses.
The image would be even better if it wasn't purple. I think the quarians aren't purple. Just because their helmets are purple doesn't mean they are purple too. It's not like our suits are the same color as our skins or anything.

I don't believe they're purple either. Some of them have pale faceplates as seen in Tali's Loyalty mission.
However you can get clear images of Tali looking pretty human in her face. Her eyes and nose are the same as a human's as seen through all Quarian Visors.

That's actually the 1st 1 I was looking for but couldn't find it and I would be quite pleased with that design for Tali'Zorah.
This is another I would like...

One of the few ones I actually like. I dunno why you guys are putting up a stink about her looking human, it's already been said in the book that they're similar in appearance. Does anyone have the exact quote? It's been a while.
