So I bought ME1 for PC, then ME2 CE for PC, enjoyed them very much, and I am just preparing for ME3.  I can't play it on PC because I refuse to allow Origin on my machine (not even for this game), so I am trying to switch over to XBox.  I've seen all the threads for moving saves over, went out and boutght ME2 for the 360, put it in, 'connected to cerberus'... and nothing.  It asked me to redeem my cerberus code even though I logged in with the same email as I use for my xbox / ea accounts.

I am looking into how to link them now but having a bit of trouble - and a lot of what I am reading says I need to have the same DLC on both... does that not transfer over?  And the cerberus account, does that not transfer over?  How do you get all this set up?  I am willing to jump through a lot of hoops to make ME3 work in spite of EA but not to the point where I will re-purchase every sngle DLC I have already paid for (and that is stored though the account), and Cerberus, so please tell me there is another solution?

You have a basic misconception of how the dlcs work. When you purchase a dlc you only purchase (the right to use it) for that one system; it is not meant to allow you to have access across multiple platforms. Thus purchasing a dlc on the PC for the PC does not automatically entitle you to use the dlc you bought on the PC for the PC on a 360 (the coding might be different for example and other technical issues).

As for moving saves I don't know much about that but I'm sure someone on the modding threads on the character creation boards will know the answer to that. I think it's possible but that's just an uninformed opinion.

While you have the same EA account it does not mean that what is available for one system is available for another (reasoning is the same as the first point about dlcs). The Cerberus Network code you redeemed was for the PC and not the 360 hence only enables you to use the associated dlc for the PC. That information should be clear when you look at your game promotions tab here on the forum.

If you were playing on the 360 and completed LotSB for example and saved, removed the dlc, then tried to reload that save it will not load as you'll be given an error message about corrupt or missing dlc. The save itself is fine though.

To use a transferred from PC save (if possible) which has dlc information you will then need the corresponding modules in order to access that save game; at least that is what I would expect. (A slightly more informed opinion.)

Now...there was an apparent solution for those willing to give up one of the platforms (PC or 360). However, Bogsnot, a frequent troubleshooter on the PC boards, has indicated that a particular document which did allow the dlc to be used across the PC and 360 is no longer available in its previous form. As they suggest, your best bet is to contact EA support to see if you are willing (not if they can) to allow you to transfer licenses from PC to 360 (obviously you'll have to buy the game again as I doubt they'd be that generous).

That's pretty much all I can state on the matter. Good luck.
