Now I know that no one here can give me specifics on the ME3 demo since it hasn't been released yet, but maybe someone who tried ME2 demo will be able to answer.
Basically I just am wondering will it be first level? Will you be able to import your current character? Will you be able to continue off from that point once the game is released?
Thanks for any and all input!

1) I'm expecting the demo to feature the first level and Sur'Kesh. Maybe a part from Tuchanka, dunno. There's no info on this as of now if I remember correctly .
2) No, you won't be able to import your character.
3) I hardly think so.

It's been confirmed the ME3 will not allow you to import a character but it does start with the choice-generator segment or at least part of it.
What? You speak about ME3 demo right? Not about full game??

Yes. Even if I accidently dropped the word demo, that should've been quite obvious.Lucas1987Dion wrote...

A demo is a preview of whats to come, also it might come with some bugs.
Bugs are fine in a demo as long as they aren't game-breaking.

And the Dragon Age II demo even used some old dialog in the Varric and Cassandra conversations.LeCavalier wrote...

As further confirmation:
1) Not the entirety of the first level will be playable (Confirmed that not all of the new system for picking choices from previous games will be available, which most agree is the trial/first level).
2) tallen cleared this up pretty simply.
3) Still only [well supported] speculation on our part, but probably not. Rarely do demos let you progress from their endpoints. Wouldn't be much fun anyway, since you can't import your Shepard for the demo.

If DA2 is any indication, demo *will* be the beta. That one piece of code they show off at conventions. One that was leaked on Xbox Live, only now polished a bit.
My money is on the leaks beta being polished. They have already shown alot of the start and alot of the female krogran resuce. I would be more shocked if they gave us a demo that did show new content.

That's probably what they'll give us, yes. The leak is a very old build and may even be older than the E3 demo so I'm curious about any possible changes.DoomBlackDragon wrote...

My money is on:
- Introduction & hearing
- Escape from Earth
- Mars mission
Since Ashley / Kaidan get wounded at the end and Cerberus is introduced as new enemy, the end of the Mars mission should be perfect as a "demo cliffhanger"

Is it normal that a company does not give the date of a demo ? Or it's just that Bioware practices a game, and hides the information ?
No it's not normal. But hey, by doing so, Bioware makes people want/desire a product much more than normally. It's one of techniques used nowadays to manipulate crowds in order to buy (or increase sale rates of) a certain product.
