Shepard wakes up in the med-bay after Eden Prime, and is asked about his beta-waves and "intense dreaming" by Chakwas.

What a TWIST!

Ooooh Sixth Sense/Inception

Please, for the love of all that is good... no time travel, please?

I initially went into depth of why I hate the very concept of time travel in sci-fi, but it got rather philosophical and I'm sure nobody would care to read it anyway... I'm actually okay (it's not my favorite plot item) with "going back in time", it's the future and help coming from the future that irritates me.

If you are referencing my post, I was kidding, that was a Dragon Ball Z reference

Shep finds how that Cerberus did more then just him back, they implanted him with reaper eggs. When he gets close to the Reaper leader they hatch and turn his brain into liquid mush, and Shep's LI shoots him in the head to prevent him/her from taking over the universe.

Nah, it was just a general comment.

Cerberus planted a miniturized 20-Kiloton Nuclear Armamant in his head. In the course of the fighting, he is shot in the head (again) but this time it punctures and detonates the bomb, decimating everything

You learn that the fate of the galaxy will be determined by the seemingly insignificant choice of allowing or forbidding the preaching Hanar to preach about the Protheans on the Citadel in Mass Effect 1. If you allowed the Hanar to preach, it will assemble a group of warrior Hanar that will assist you in destroying the Reapers out of revenge for them killing their idols, ensuring you victory in the galactic war. If you didn't allow the Hanar to preach, the Reapers end up killing your love interest, and then the rest of your squad kills you for not doing anything to prevent it. With no great great leader left to fight the Reapers, they destroy all organic life one by one and retreat to dark space afterwards.

They challenge Commander Shepard and his crew to a Space Jam.

Oh wait, that'd be the best ending.

Shep and co., after 80 hours of playgame, are unable to find a "cure" to the reaper threat and thus the Reapers win. It ends in a "whisper", since it will pass many years, perhaps centuries, before all traces of civilization gets erradicated. Shepard and some friends will see this doom unfold quietly and slowly, from a relatively secure vantage point. Until some reaper finds them and destroys them. When that happens though, Shep is already defeated in his / her mind, and accepts his / her death.

I'm actually rather fine with this ending.

My version of "worst" one? Shepard travels galaxy solving problems of every race and they give him forces, then in final battle Reapers are destroyed by fleets.

I did not "design" it to be a badly written one. I designed it to be a "bad" ending, like you lose buddy, here's a sad cinematic experience for you now ;).

Don't worry, it will be worse than that ;). But at least I know it will be fun fun fun.

Everyone gets through fine with Shep and friends all happy and safe. Then the Alliance rewards Shepard with a medal and make him feel all big inside for being brave and stuff. After everyone continues their normal life while Shep and his/her LI get to live happily ever after..................... just typing this made me cringe.

That everything was just a DREAM... or was it? ;-)

If they were to seriously do this, it would be such an epic fail, but I would probably laugh hysterically at the same time.

The Citadel Council gets stuck in the bathroom throughout the entirety of the galactic war due to a bad case of "the runs." When the Reapers are all destroyed, they come out of the bathroom relieved, but were not able to witness the Reapers for themselves. When Shepard and co. try to explain the war with the Reapers, the Council disregards what they said and then accuses Shepard for causing all the destruction just to fool them into believing the Reapers were real. Shepard and the gang are then charged for severe homicide and thrown in jail with life in prison, while the Council goes to the bar on Omega to dance and drink cocktails with Conrad Verner.

The Reapers are defeated, but it turns out there is a bigger and worse threat out there, which will be the focus of Mass Effect 4, 5 and 6.

IMHO
the worst ending for ME3 is well...the happiest ending to be honest
