As to what I would bring...

The human armada from robotech/macross, LoGH and IcT.
SDF-1and Yukikaze leading the charge with captains Gloval, Nemo, Tylor and Yang Wenli.
And veritech squadrons with athena's Gold Saints, Alucard, and Vash the Stampede riding on top.
The Sailor Scouts would be in charge of morale.

And if that fails (which is impossible)... Chuq Noia:P

The Imperial fleet of Star Wars. ISD's are almost as big as Reapers while SSD's and ESD's eclipse the biggest Reaper. Those squids have no chance.

A "bit" of an overklill indeed.
I guess just Capricorn El cid would be enough. It's not like the reapers (or anyone for that matter) can defend agaisnt Excalibur.
