That kid in the start of the ME3 demo, stole your model ships for his collection..... its so obvious because he is playing with one of his other model ships in the yard. Why do you think Shepard looked like he was going to rape the kid when he/she was looking at the window.
See in ME3, you have to go recover that kids body and search it for the model ship and then go all over Earth searching for all the other ships that he stole from you.

According to CVG, some (or possibly all of the original ME2) models are scattered around the SR-2A, and can be found.
Still no answer on what happens to the Prothean Swirling Ball of Inert Terror though...

Depends if the devs bothered to clean out the dead fishtanks. Also I have it on good authority that the collectors took them.

Chris's answer is insufficiently accurate. Yes, the models will be on board the ship. The Alliance workers packed them up; you'll find them in crates all over the Normandy.
As for the fish, it depends. If you saved Kelly and she was feeding your fish, she saved your fish when the Alliance started their refit. You'll get them back when you meet her again.

Thanks, StarcloudSWG. That's what I was looking for. I somehow forgot to get the shadow broker ship. Going to restart ME 3 and import a save to get it.

and the space hamster is running around in engineering where Jack used to be...he is pain in the ass to catch though...

Based on what i've seen on other forums, the Sovereign, SR-2, and SR-1/SSV Normandy models are not on the SR-2A when you board. Can anyone who's found them clarify their location?

So, aside from the fish transfering over in a clever way. I liked the fact that if you bought the paddle fish in Mass Effect 2 and it lived in ME3 when you do a new player through plus (Beat game and use ME3 import after to keep going) you get a secert item.
Haha makes me feel like you guys read this post and said 'f'ck it and added that in.
