Okay, so here's the issue: for some reason when I get to the gates of Denerim and fight off the darkspawn the whole companion speech thing is skipped. Is it a mod I have? The only ones I can think of that might cause this are Karmas Companions and the Gatekisses mod, but then again, it might be the Zevring mod? I don't know. The rest of the mods I have are mainly cosmetic, so I don't see how they could be causing the issue.

I also have a problem where the epilogue slides don't show at all. It just skips straight to the credits. I know it can't be the Royal Wedding mod, since I installed that after I finished the game and just replayed the dragon fight to see it.

I tried disabling said mods in the dlc section of the main menu, but the companion speeches still don't trigger and the epilogue slides are still skipped. I also deleted the above mods from the override folder but to no avail.

In case this is needed: I have the original PC edition of the game (retail disk) and have patch 1.04. I have an IntelCore i3 processor 2.27 GHz, with 4 GB RAM. My display adaptor is Intel Graphics Media Accelorator HD,  and my sound adaptor is IDT High Definition CODEC.

Cut your message in half. The top goes to the Site Help forum, since it isn't a Game Problem. Then, if you want help with the rest, look for the Sticky starting off "Read First", and read it all, follow it all, to have a report that may generate answers.

Other than ME-3, and Off-Topic, however, most of the interest in the Social Forums died midway through last spring, and never revived when the good weather ended. There are only a mere handful of experienced gamers who still drop in here that are answering some questions.

Many such go unanswered now, so the FAQ threads and archives are the most important resources here, not the interactive message facility.

Haha, sorry about that, I've never really written much in forums before. And thank you for the help, I will do that now.

The problems you have described are not what I would expect from that bad of a computer.

I would expect you to be complaining about great slowness, and way substandard graphic quality. You do not have a supported PC, since a real, actual graphics card is required, and you tell me that you have none.

Intel makes junk when it comes to graphics, and no one supports the PCs that only have those for video. I rather doubt that adding a proper gaming card to the PC will do anything about the complaints you have described, but IMO, if you do not get a gaming class card, you really don't want to play a game like this one the way that it was designed to be played.

In some areas where the game's requirements and the game owner's hardware go apart, I do try to assist, whether EA would do so or not. When it comes to wasting one's money on games when all you have is Intel's junk for a video solution, I am far less generous.

Not that I knew anything about the problems you mentioned so far, but my negative feeling about Intel video is pretty common.

Windows XP Minimum Specifications
OS: Windows XP with SP3
CPU: Intel Core 2 Single (or equivalent) running at 1.6Ghz or greater
AMD 64 (or equivalent) running at 2.0Ghz or greater
RAM: 1 GB or more
DVD ROM (Physical copy)
20 GB HD space
Video: ATI Radeon X850 256MB card or greater (this is clearly wrong)
NVIDIA GeForce "6600 GT" 128MB card or greater (and this one is more wrong)

(Note: IMO, the practical choices for the two video cards above should be the Radeon X800 Pro, and the Geforce 6800 GS, at least, for small textures - it will take a Radeon X1650 XT (or X1800 GTO, same thing, almost) for medium or better textures)

I do have some issues with slowness, but it usually only occurs when I have multiple mages in my party casting area effect spells at the same time or when Alistair does his cleanse area ability against two mages that are using area effect spells while Wynne is casting some sort of spell as well. However, I don't like playing as a mage or using them in my party for the most part, so slowness is not that big of an issue. The video card I have is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 2194MB (it says it supports DirectX11), and I used to play Dragon Age on the xbox, so the game looks pretty good from the computer (at least in comparison to before...I don't know what I should be expecting since I don't normally play games on the computer). I play on the very high graphics setting and it doesn't appear to be too horrid. Is there a difference between a graphics card and video card? Am I really missing it? Haha because I'm kinda used to console games and don't know much about computers.

EDIT: Here's a couple screenshots to show the graphics quality I'm getting.

Even "cosmetic" mods can cause unexpected issues with the game.  You won't find too much here (in this forum) on specific mods and their side-effects... you may want to consult the page where you downloaded each mod.

You can also do a directed Google search for each mod.  Go to Google, and in the search field, type:

site:social.bioware.com your search terms

for example - site:social.bioware.com ancient elven boot fix

Well, I have the same issue, the exact same one, in fact. and I don't have any of the three mods mentioned in the post.

And I've already searched the google. I'm guessing this might be a companion addition bug...
