Before reading, please note that i bought both games through steam.

So this summer i got a new gaming rig. This mean that i now have two drives, an sdd drive © with win 7 64 bit ultimate and my documents and so on aswell as (d) a much larger hdd where i keep al my games and such. Now, i hade problems playing me1 and 2 from the start (save games and achivements and wat-not).  Beacuse of these problems, i havent been able to play the game worry free on this new rig.

I have reinstalled the games on several occasions and removed bioware file (so that it would recreate when i reinstalled the game, thus starting from scratch), aswell as moving said file about (after testing defult ofc) and changing the save path in the GamerSettings file. i have been able to manually create characters (eg creating their folder manually and putting losse aoutsave in them. How ever, this has caused me to lose all my achivements. I am now going to get to the bottom of this, and after all the searching for information ithink the problem is about the fact that my game files and my save files (the my documents folder) have 1) been on different drivers 2) the bioware file has been located in a root directory, after creating itself there by defultwhen i install the game/s)

So, after reinstalling the game, waht should i do if said problems presist? How do i solve the documents-on-another-drive-problem? and no, i havent moved my documents folder. Also, will these kinds of problems persist in ME3? And would it present a problem if i bought Me3 on Origin instead of steam?

I know its quite alot, and if i have understood the problem wrong, or if someting dosent make anyt sense or isent clear, please tell me so, and allow me to clearefy. Also, sorry for spelling mistakes, english is not my native tounge.
Any and all help is wlcome :)

Have you tried reading the Tech FAQ? There are hints in there on what to do if your My Documents folder is not in the default location that Windows creates.

Well, the documents folder is were windows want it to be. The problem is that the document folder and the game installation are on to different drives (e and d). This causes the BioWare folder to be created in D/, the root drive od the game installation, and this prevents my achivements from being saved. (among other things)
