After Skyrim, no.

Bethesda should at least take over writing.

Skyrim is very shallow, especially compered to Fallout New Vegas.

Mass Effect is not Bethesda's style. It doesn't fit. And despite it's flaws in game design Obsidian has some of the best writers in the gaming industry.

A very physical and cinematic FPS ala Crysis 1/2 set in the ME universe with the ability to customize your character's abilities (biotics tech or armor abilities) and weapon payload

possibly set on a remote colony during a husk infestation

Serious? The only thing I can think of that New Vegas is better than at Skyrim is the main plot. Which in both games isn't really the selling point and are only a few hours long anyways.

Not an MMO or RTS. I'd rather have another ARPG, preferably with more RPG.

Another trilogy set LONG after the events of ME3.. which if you look at the situations, Bioware could easily implement your ending. Isn't it weird that the only character who can't see to die is Liara?

The reason: She'll be in the new trilogy in some form aswell. She's only 108 after all.

I don't want to see the ME franchise die and I doubt it will, Bioware seems to have found a solid footing here, and has spent countless hours building a universe.  I think there's a lot that can be done.  I'd love to see cheap $5 releases of character backstories.  I think running around as a little Jack while she destroyed the Cerberus facility or a heist job as Kasumi, or Legion running through the Reaper before Shepard in ME2, and how he came to have the N7 armor would be great.  You get little glimpses of these stories in the dialogue, but I think playing them would be even better.   think it would be difficult to know anything definite until ME3 ships and players see how it ends and maybe a short break from the main story is needed.

I was going to start an entire thread about this, but I'll just ramble here for now.I'd like to see a reboot of the KotOR series actually.  Nothing drastic, same story and characters and locatoions. But the 10th anniversary of KotOR is coming up soon and I'd love to see the ME3 graphics engine applied to it, along with the dialogue system, and refined inventory screen.  Oh and new voice work for Carth, definitely new voice work for Carth.  I think the same could be done for KotOR II if Bioware could get the property back from Obsidian.

Distant (at least 100 years) future sequel that shows us the impact of the Galactic War. New threat (something more "in-universe," like the yahg threatening to start a war or the like), new people, a few old friends to help us still feel at home. Liara doing her Shadow Broker thing is the obvious tie, with a few no-longer-so-little blue children if she was the romance. I'd especially like a DA: Origins thing where we can choose between a few species.

I'd also like a million dollars and a pony, while I'm wishing for impossible things. Posted Image

This is a great idea. A KotOR remake for the next generation's console is a guaranteed preorder.

if they produce a full on FPS that will allow them to appease EA (and make a great game) while at the same time make a new FULL rpg game as a new IP

Yes, Lucasarts does own the Star Wars license but who owns the rights to the games themselves?  I'm sure some legal things need to be hammered out, but Lucasarts and Bioware have a long tradition of making awesome Star Wars games.  And I have never seen Lucasarts turn down any money making scheme so I don't see this being a huge legal problem.

Besides, this is a personal hope of mine, I have no delusions that this will actually happen.  Even if the Halo, God of War, and Metal Gear franchises are making a boat load of money off re-releasing old games.

A war that lasted a few days and only a few people got killed ?

Of course, they'll just retcon it, just like they retconned a lot of stuff for Evolution

New Vegas pwns Skyrim in EVERY way besides for the world/exploration.

In that aspect, Bethesda remains king. No developer has come even close to it besides Rockstar (Red Dead Redmption, Grand Theft Auto etc)

But honestly, from writing to strong meaningful choices to memorable characters, Obsidian is king.

However, bugs are the bane of both developers' existence. :bandit:

Wait, I thought the comics were just the "default" world set by Bioware and are by no means canon. :?

RPG spin-off by Obsidian

That's what Obsidian does best, spin offs.

Alpha Protocol?

Alpha Protocol great story and choices, but cmon you have to admit the gameplay sucked. Obisidian does a great job of taking other franchises and putting there good story and characters in it, but using the same style of gameplay.

And doesn't have a dialogue wheel with obvious good/jerk moral choices.

Based on a open steampunk world similar to Arcanum with non-linear story arcs. ^_^
