Yet I still find myself asking, why have you spent hours here trying to persuade those who don't want their game to include the Origin client that the Origin client is a good thing, or at least not something to worry about?  Nothing that I want changed in any way affects your ability to install and use the Origin client in any way that you desire, yet you continue to spend hours telling us we are over-reacting, we are paranoid, we are just ill-informed.  What is your stake in this?  Why do you need the Origin client to be universally accepted?

Safety in numbers? As in, if something happens, they could go "at least I'm not alone in this".

Just guessing.

I guess , I rather go investigate for myself then believe hear say and unclear videos.Hear say is how innocent people got burned at the stake for being a witch.

As do most people including myself. Because I do not then end up relying on false information or out of date information from fear mongerers or people who try to push their agenda via propaganda.

I tested the three clients Ubisoft, Steam and Origin as did many others and we posted out results many pages ago.

We are not basing our opinions on out of date material or conspiracy theory or just rumour. We looked for  ourselves and tested it ourselves. The end result is we are more informed than those who do not bother.

I haven't persuaded anybody , I'm just trying to inform. If you don't like origins you don't like it and won't be playing ME3(fine).I'm trying to explain that maybe their's more reason to why EA wants one activation through origins and why it isn't on steam.I'm also trying to explain that origins is does not use any private information , if that's what is stopping so many.

Read your own post again. I bolded it for you then re-read what I said. You stated it in a past tense therefore I was quite right to say that is not the same as prediction for the future.

The example was about how not knowing the outcome doesn't dismiss the validity of a prediction. Whatever tense was used is irrelevant to the example.

It's like you saying that if a kid went out and played in traffic that there is no factual truth to him/her getting injured.
You realize how insane that sounds? come now. I know your  biodrones come in all sorts of color but this is beyond fanboyism.

Incorrect, it is like saying a kid once played in the street and once got hurt, your basing your judgement on a "chance" that he will do it again and NOT that he did get hurt, your prediction is about what might happen not what happened in the past.

Okay seriously making a predition based off past actions isn't something unreasonable.

Saying it's 100 fact and always going to happen yeah that's unreasonable. But saying someone who committed shady actions in the past is likely to do so again? Not unreasonable at all.

And let's not forget. Has motive to do it again. Will profit from doing it again. Won't be held accountable for doing it again.

Yeah. I'd be surprised if EA games didn't do it.

I have been listing the facts of what the client does now as opposed to people spouting propaganda that what it may of done in past it still does. People who spending their time spreading misinformation instead of looking at the tests me and others have done which show they are mistaken.

There is no reason why I should let the people peddle misinformation.

Putting aside the question of whether it is misinformation or not, why do you care?  If we get our way, you can still use the Origin client as much as you want in any way that you want.  If we don't get our way, same result.  Why bother to spend hours telling myself and others that we are paranoid, ill-informed, rumour mongering or just plain wrong?  Your efforts affect the outcome for you in no way, shape or form.  Why bother?

Edited for spelling errors.

Ah -- but the fact remains that many more in this thread (a place of familiarity), are against Origin than not.

That doesn't disprove my point at all. There are more casual gamers on consoles, period. Surely, you would not dispute this obviously undeniable fact?

I'm not so sure that you'd be right about this even if you had some actual demographic data, what with the popularity of browser and Facebook games nowadays.

That is a good point that I didn't think of. Still, I think console gamers just have a larger casual market than pc gamers.  Since certain game titles targetted at casual gamers are released more often on consoles and sell very well on consoles.

Demographic data about casual gamers and hardcore gamers wouldn't exist. Too hard to make the distinction

Well, whatever the actual numbers, the market that's truly dominated by casual gaming is the mobile one.  But this is getting off-topic.

Which is fine for you to feel or believe that you cannot trust them. It is not fine to call anyone who has more trust nothing more than corporate puppets or sheeps or clueless.

Most of us who don't rely on what 'might' happen actually ran the tests to find out what does happen.

I'm have no interest in being Pro origins , I do most of my gaming on a console.I do however like to set the facts straight about what origins does and what it doesn't. Former criminals have motive to steal or rob again once again. But does that really mean they will , especially if they've been given help to avoid being a criminal again.

It annoys me, simple as that. Lieing to achieve a result makes you no better than the people you hate (EA).

I prefer the people who do come in here get the facts about what it does rather than the propaganda of what it might do.

I think I said this, what with the whole "kid stealing gum" thing.

I've been running Origin on a laptop for hours, surfed the net, played a game, played movies. played songs, and it hasn't left it's folder. They must have made some changes to it since those original pics came out.

Don't worry the ones not ranting are reading your posts.

They ignore if it is not within their agenda or they cannot refute what it is you said.

Seriously. It was a joke before, but now I'm really starting to wonder. Is EA games paying you? That is the only way you'd be so willfully stupid.

We aren't basing our expectations on what might happen but more on what has happened. To take my analogy more clear;

It's like saying that the kid who played in traffic is MORE likely to get injured than say the kid who just played in his sandbox. What is so crazy about this conclusion?

Either way. I do think you're too young to even know what the hell you're saying. Your arguments demonstrate either your naivety or your stupidity. Or just both.

Yes, someone tested this a number of pages back, an older version of Origin, and the latest. The latest stays in its own domain like a good kid, the older version runs all over the PC.

You'd be surprised how often they "queitly settle" things out of court, regardless of "rights" to avoid reprecussions...

Let's hope it doesn't decide to run all over once it thinks no one's watching anymore.
