The only option I have been given here is dont buy it, then dont play it, dont pirate it if you dont lik origin, let the game slide if you dont like this and blabla and blabla. Useless alternative to barriers not even created by me. You guys are group of sheeps and ea is that dog that makes you go down the right path.

I told you what you can do but you're too narrow minded to know what an alternative is. Buy. The. Game. On. A. Console. The End.

well thank you kind sir! For you the story might end, but not for me. I already gave you answer, in case you missed it

voila

I have both console, but I wish to play it on my kickass dx11 pc. And the prices for console games are twice as much compaired to pc games.

Not ALL DRM is bad. Steam is one example. It doesnt restrict you besides forcing you to launch Steam every time you want to play MP and in some cases, SP. There is no always-connected-to-servers requirement or a download limit. Steam lets me play with my friends, gives me amazing discounts and backs up my gamesaves.

What you just described is a good example of bad DRM.  You have to launch and log into a seperate program, through which access to the software you bought and own is restricted.

Aaaaaand here's where that line of thinking has always been false.  You've never owned the game, you've owned a license to use the software.  Just like MS Word, just like Photoshop, etc. etc.

It impossible to know what you think, because you have response capabilities. You keep repeating yourself or you keep asking me not do this and that.

If for once you could actually think how certain gamers have build up a whole steam account for years and years, not ever being forced to use a differenct agent. You think im the one being foolish and ignorant by stealing this game. Show me a way not to use origin and I'll buy it day 1. but you cant, so day 1 pirate

So hyprocrite then? Stop spouting that you have no other options in this whole situation then taking the option that appeals to you the most. You've failed to explain why you pirating the game is justified.

as a person who was there when sony's DCUO game got hacked by anonymous let me just say, dont even give Origin a chance. You have everything to lose.

^ This.

Even if you completely trust EA... they've been hacked.  Sony has been hacked.  Many companies have been hacked.  Chinese hackers, misguided activists, etc... they're out there, and they're succeeding often enough to matter.

In other words, you can't have it on your precious so you gonna cheat the developer out of their money.

Steam babys and their double standards.. Always cracks me up :)

Yes, their hypocrisy is hilarious.

My last post was probably ignored due to all the YARR talk lately. I explained what I said in that quote further above and I bet most people who want the game on Steam would agree in that the game should NOT force ANY client on players. But many people would like to see ME3 on Steam too, for multiple reasons like having all their other games there, or the Biopoints DLC ripoffs.

I want a ME3 I can play without either be forced into Steam nor into Origin. I personally wouldn't mind using Steam as an option, because I use it anyway, but just for your info, not a single Bioware game of mine is inside my Steam library, one is even tied (forced on) Origin already, it was the lesser of two evils to get Mass Effect 1 that way than having to deal with the activation limit.

you blind or do you lack the knowlegde to understand what you read? My main reason is so simple and is the reason many out there will pirate the game or ask a friend if they can play their copy, that is origin. And then you go tell me my alternative is a consolegame that is twice as expensive and looks half as good? What great alternative that is. And all this because ea is being lame. Rembemer, I aint no sheep!

There will be a patch that makes Origin unnecessary anyway.

I'll just buy the game and then do whatever it takes to play it without Origin.

Yeah that must be it, it can't possibly be the requirement to install and run origin!

The Direct2Drive version of Mass Effect 3 will require Origin too.

As far as I know, Valve wouldn't allow a company to force you to use their DRM on top of Steam when you buy a game through Steam.

I'll point you to the steam versions of Assassin's Creed II and Splinter Cell: Conviction, both of which did NOT have Ubisoft's DRM, as Steam itself is DRM.

I hope Ubi changed it for steam since I last installed it (about 9 months ago) AC2 still had Uplay on it back then.
I did notice that steam version of A Game of Thrones - Genesis has Tages Solidshield - 5 machine activation limit drm with it.

Uplay is a social thing, not the DRM

Uplay can be considered DRM because several in-game items are not unlockable until you connect to Uplay. IE: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood extra outfits.

Uplay is positive incentive to connect with no negative reprecussions for not connecting, it's a reward system.  It can kind of be used like DRM, but isn't required to play the game.

Connecting IS a negative incentive.

of course you are, because you know ea is being a lame dicks as corperation, money hungry, and they choose a bad way of getting customer to start useing their platform. I dont understand why in the first place we had to start talking about our intelligence here. Lets stick to the lame issue that origin is mandatory. Read the topic header again to know why members have a outspoken opion about origin on these pages

So you have a console anyway, but instead of spending maybe £10 extra (saying they cost twice as much is flat out wrong) to avoid Origin at the cost of slightly reduced graphics you feel you're entitled to it for free?

You don't even have a valid reason. You're just some cheapskate after free stuff.

There are also reports of users getting banned on Origin that also removes their access to EA Games they bought over Origin. (Happened with BF3). It'll get very interesting when that happens with ME3.

And you a smelly dog that needs a walk in park and good bath. Dont really understand why you had go and do that. In you world it could possible be wrong, but in my world I pay around 25 to 30 euro for a brand new pc titel and for my 360 or ps3 games I always pay around 55 to 60 euro. Dont come telling I'm wrong here. Use the net to find a good store smart ass. And the part about slightly reduced graphisc is serioulsy putting it lightly! But, i get the feeling you know me better then i know myself. You whole post is full of erros. me3 will be the first game I'll pirate. If bf3 was not a mp game, that one would have the first. Both origin mandatory games

dude, wrong again. Please stop and start asking. I bought BF3. Just to be sure, before my purchase I posted on ea forum, had a chat with some **** in pakistan who worked on the ea chat service and they all told me origin was optional. Then bf3 dropped in my mailbox, inserted dvd 1 and guess what happened next.....
