Thank you. I just hope other people as disaffected as I am do the same thing so EA/BioWare feels it.

4) Will ME3 be available on Steam?
During initial release Mass Effect 3 will be available on Origin and a number of other 3rd party digital retailers, but not on Steam at this time. Steam has adopted a set of restrictive terms of service which limit how developers interact with customers to deliver patches and other downloadable content. We are intent on providing Mass Effect to players with the best possible experience no matter where they purchase or play their game, and are happy to partner with any download service that does not restrict our ability to connect directly with our consumers.
We will not be releasing Mass Effect 3 on Steam because then how would we, you know, force Origin on you? Also gold, lots and lots of gold.

Yet when Ubisoft's PC sales plummeted 90% after the introduction of all their amazing anti-piracy ideas, there was no corresponding lift in console sales. Conclusion? Many people simply stopped buying Ubisoft games AT ALL.OdanUrr wrote...
Well, since they believe PC piracy to be rampant, they may consider the worst-case scenario to be people switching to console gaming, which would still be a win.
Dear Origin and EA...Emoking wrote...

So does that mean if I only play single player, I can install ME3, and then uninstall Origin, then play single player?

Give it time. There's likely a reason they only announced this on a Friday evening/afternoon, hoping it wouldn't get big exposure due to the weekend.

Why do we need a program for the game?
Really?
This has been my issue with Steam, Origin, whatever. Why when we buy a game, can't we just get the damn game.
Why do we need SOMETHING else.
Are you trying to push people from the PC market? Are you trying to force them to go to console?
Origin, Steam, Windows Live - they all make life more difficult than they need to be.
Please. Stop.

Evidence to back this up?
Yes it is. Steam gives you opt-out option from data mining. Origin DOES NOT. Period. You can't play Origin games unless you allow EA to mine your computer for data. You CAN play Steam games even if you don't allow Valve to mine your computer for data.PoliteAssasin wrote...
Origin is no different from steam, with the exception of registered users.
