Normal, it has an average difficultly which won't make the ride through ME3's story too easy.

TL;DR: Like OP.

what do you mean?

If someone was just lurking around and wouldn't bother reading my entire post, it could be summarized to being very much like your post, I agreed with what you wrote. I'll change it so it won't be as confusing.

Playing ME3 on any difficulty below Insanity should be considered a shameful act and an insult to all true gamers on this planet.

In fact, the difficulty lvl's should be named something like this.

Beyond shameful
Uber shameful
Super shameful
Shameful
Semi-shameful
Insanity

Drunken Insanity (thats when you get drunk, then try and play it on insanity. A REAL difficulty mode made for manly men)

I think I actually did that once in ME2, with my Sentinel run. I only realized afterwards when I went to pickup where I had left off, and I had a Keanu "whoa" moment, seeing that I some how progressed ahead  through a few missions!

I've done the same with ME1, Dead Space a few times, and maybe Bioshock once :bandit:. Good times!

Good man! Being drunk also makes the extreme difficulty more bearable I find!
(Though it does have it's down side, Dark Souls has currently turned me into an alcoholic)

Insanity.
ME1s insanity is frustrating till you reach proper level.
ME2s insanity makes some of the fights more enjoyable, and some of them even hard if you are a beginner.

so I guess ME3s insanity will make the game ANY fun.

The hardest difficulty that's available and climb my way up. You're still enjoying the game rpd/story etc. but the fights are more difficult, which that's how they should be because you're not fighting pigeons damnit!

I usually never start on the highest difficuly on a story-driven game (because it leads to frustration sometimes hence detracting from the overall experience) but def. Insanity for ME3. The Reapers are finally here and I don't want the fights to be a breeze to get through even during my first run through the game. Defeating the Reapers is no easy task and I wanna be feel the frustration and adversity in each battle just like my Shepard would be feeling at the time. I'll be setting myself a challenge in finishing each and every battle quickly and efficiently using various tactics and utilizing my squad members abilities to their fullest potential. If any of my squad members die at any point during combat, I'll be reloading. If I feel that I haven't exactly dominated the battlefield but barely got out of a tough spot through sheer luck, I'll be reloading.
