And even then they would give it a 10.
Guess what you think ign will rate Mass Effect 3 as?

ME3(Xbox360) as it should and is likely to be: 99
ME3(PS3) as it should and is likely to be: 97(missing ME1 choices & no Kinect hurt)
ME3(PC) as it should be: 0.00(no spyware kthxbay)
ME3(PC) as it is likely to be: 98(...but EA said we should have coffee together, and they smiled when they said coffee!!!)

Sony has proven in the past that your privacy is not safe with them. Why would the requirement Origin, a system that only scans the EA folder and is only required to be booted once, justify a drop to 0% (in your eyes) while PSN, a service that has been hacked before resulting in the theft of credit card details, would not? I would take some shallow datamining, if you could call it that, over that.Darth_Trethon wrote...
I really think that once all is said and done after the dust has settled and all reviews written the metacritic scores will go something like this:
ME3(Xbox360) as it should and is likely to be: 99
ME3(PS3) as it should and is likely to be: 97(missing ME1 choices & no Kinect hurt)
ME3(PC) as it should be: 0.00(no spyware kthxbay)
ME3(PC) as it is likely to be: 98(...but EA said we should have coffee together, and they smiled when they said coffee!!!)
I think the main issue with ME3, like ME2, will be that it will be a lackluster port that contains the same limitations as the Xbox 360 version. Since PC critics usually have higher quality standards, we'll see that the PC version will have a lower Metacritic rating. Especially the user score will be much lower because of PC elitists.
I will personally play the demo of both the PC and Xbox 360 version. I will judge both versions on how they use the strengths of their platform and I expect that I will give the Xbox 360 version a higher rating.

Being disappointed by a sequel in lieu of the impact its predecessor had on you (cough*DragonAgeII) does not make it a bad game overall. I disagree with their opinions plenty of times but that's the nature of opinions, which their reviews are.
ME3 will get a 9.5 or 10 unless they severely mangle the conclusion of the story. Otherwise there's slim to no chance of it getting any less, since ME2 is one of IGN's favorite games of the past decade (and for good reason) and this sequel is looking to only improve on it in most ways.
Anyone who thinks this game is likely to either get OR deserve a 7 from IGN or any other site is stupid as hell. Y'all take nitpicking and cynicism to new levels.

LOL it's like in the old days of reviewing >5=bad game where five was average and 7 equaled good, or decent. Now, >9= crap. There are tons of great games with a score lower than nine.

Definitely. IGN rated Infinite Undiscovery a 7.1 and that's one of my favorite RPGs this generation.Urdnot Grim wrote...
