Eh, Shiala is probably a Thorian clone anyway. ~_^

Don't people realise, that saying "STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE!" for something completely harmless and preferential is rather pointless?

Good. Someone who makes sense here.

@ the OP: Just because YOU dont find Thane and Garrus attractive doesnt make them not.
Realize that Garrus only became an option for Femshep due to POPULAR DEMAND to have him as an LI.
I actually find him VERY attractive. And Thane is handsome too.
Plus their personality makes them even more attractive. So its more emotional and physical attraction that many people see. Though its more personality that draws fans [both men and women] to them and that in turn makes the person [whether its garrus, thane or anyother alien] shine through physically.

Like they say - To each their own.
But dont publicly say they arent just because you dont like them that way since theres millions of others of will otherwise flame you alive.

2 my fellow xenophiles = In the end of the day.....

So lets embrace this fact and ignore the xenophobes.

I'd like to point out that even Shepard thinks Garrus is ugly. :P

Ok in all seriousness, every one has their own opinion and that's just that. :)

Some people don't find the aliens in the game attractive, I personal find them extremely attractive, give me a Turian any day and I'll be a happy woman. :D

I love Garrus, and I romanced the hell out of him. My main Shepard loves him, had a crush on him since the very first game. Same goes with Tali, I made a male Shepard just so I could have her. :D

To me I find Turians, Quarians, and Drell the most attractive, Turians and Quarians I'm most attractive to, and it’s not only because of their features and voices, but also because of their personality. I am both mentally and physical attracted to them and that's just that. :) If they were real I would make it my goal to greet them happily and attempt to romance them in love and friendship.

A relationship with another race that I am both physically and mental attracted to would work and make my life very happy.

They’re just another race another culture. :D I think BioWare did a good job, but again my opinion.
Now..... :3 putting the seriousness aside... :D Raise my xenophile brother and sisters, join me in pushing back the xenophobes! :D

If you find this unattractive I have doubts about your mental health.

(The image for some reason gets removed, but what ever hopefully you'll know of which one I speak of. :D )

I just want to say, I LOVE this picture and I find this extremely attractive , and I watch the artist on Deviant Art their artwork is very beautiful. :)

Here's the sum of it, I find Turians, Quarians, and Drell attractive and I would romance them in real life if I had the chance. I find Krogan adorable as hell, Salarians can be cute but I could not find myself with one. Between a Salarian and Krogan I'd choose the Krogan.

I do NOT find Asari attractive, I'm actually quite unattractive to them.

And between a human and an alien, I'd choose the alien anyday. :D

Kelly just got pwned

Edit: Strange I made your image work somehow. Looks like femshep finally found some good conditioner ^_^

Xenophiles....

It's like deniable bestiality.

Drell? Frogs.
Krogans? Lizards.
Salarians..also lizards.
Turians? kinda like turles/parrots.

You sick, sick people.

But you're my kind of people. Among you, I feel like I won't be judged. Here's my honeybimbpkinks:

The def for xenophile is a person who is attracted to foreign peoples, cultures, and customs.

Thus our attraction to Turians, Quarians, Drell, Asari, Krogan, Salarian, Hanar, Elcor, e.g. are based off from our attraction to their people, cultures, customs, or all. :3

^^ Some people find attraction in their own race, while others in foreign. :D Just remeber we're all aliens! ^^

Woot, also I like the honeybimbpkinks. :) its like the mutant version of the space hamster...sorry, the ZOMBIE space hamster! XD (unlike your fish, that thing never dies...which means only one thing...it's a zombie! :D )

Thane! My Shep couldn't live without him. He's very attractive!
Garrus isn't bad either, but they are BFFs.

Well, when I first played ME2 (I hadn't played ME1 yet so there was no Kaiden), the only option was Jacob but Garrus's personality and voice won over and he became the more attractive male despite looking like he's made out of rock, and sadly Jacob was pushed to the side. I started the game thinking the aliens weren't attractive, and finished the game thinking Garrus is the cutest thing ever!!!

Asari? Squid.

Oh wait, asari are acceptable because they have boobs and lore says they can have sex with everyone. *sarcasm*

I'm sorry, but you anti-alien lovers really need to start including the blue chicks more often or I'm going to just start thinking some is some stupid male thing. I saw someone against it way, way back in the begining of this thread. But that's been it.

Honestly, if the asari are one of the most attractive creatures in the galaxy, you would think female Humans would be there too considering they look idential except for skin color and tentacle heads vs hair. So logically, if the male aliens have a fetish for asari, they could have a fetish for female humans too.

And don't tell me the asari just appear attractive in certain ways to certain species with their mind contoling abilities. If that were true, they'd all look like hot guys to my femShep.

It honestly baffles me as to why so many females like Garrus as a romance option. Yes, he's a pretty cool dude but unfortunately his romance is pretty poor.

Yes it did have the potential to be something quite deep by exploring how two people could develop affections for one another despite their biological barriers and so on, but instead it was just "lol, wanna bang?" "Yeah ok." With some silly innuendo thrown in.

EDIT: Then again Jack's my LI and I think her romance was executed terribly (Shepard comes off as a creep). So is that what everyone is doing, romancing the character because they like the character (and not the romance) and then scrapping what Bioware has written and filling it with their own head canon?

Arguably the worst one of all I'd say. Even the corny Jacob one has some redeeming bits.

What I try to do. I think the only romance I like is Ashley's.

I'm not gonna lie. I dislike the Miranda romance, but I really like the character concept (genetic engineered super spy with psychic abilities and heals like wolverine). The fact that she's prohuman is the icing.

The Kellymance is the best romance if for nothing else that it isn't portrayed as anything other than a hookup. The rest try to be about "twu lub" and fall flat on their faces for it.

You can interpret the romance that way if you want. To me it feels like two best friends who are scared to death of ruining their current relationship by trying for more, so they make light of the situation until the end. Neither one strikes me as a habitual xenophile -- Garrus admits he's never considered having sex outside his species before. Their attraction is based more on mutual support rather than "hot alien -- tap that!" Garrus has second thoughts once the situation seems "real" to him and gives Shepard every opportunity to back out. No matter what she decides he constantly affirms that he'll "be there" for her whenever she needs him. Who wouldn't find that moving?

Shepard backs out #1 (blow something up... again)
Shepard continues the relationship (interspecies awkwardness/pop the heat sink)

Shepard backs out #2 (risky enough)
Shepard continues the relationship #2 (okay, that sounded bad)

Shepard dumps him in her quarters (would've torn a ligament... or something)
Shepard "Let's do this" (you're talking too much)
Shepard paragon interrupt (smooth talker)

I think if you just follow through on the romance without knowing what happens if she dumps him it does seem shallow (Shepard's go-ahead lines in the final scene make me cringe), but knowing how they interact when things don't work out is informative. (Mutual regret, reaffirmation of friendship.) I wish Shepard could call it off in ME2 and pick it up after the suicide mission or -- in ME3 when she can actually admit that it *means something*.

It gets a bit more expansion in ME3.

The Kelly "romance" was pretty creepy in ME2. It felt like I was a sleezy boss trying to have sex with my secretary.

Hope the expansion is good.

I think you're letting your head canon slip in.

Sure it's fun to read into things and pretend it's far deeper how it's actually presented but lets not kid ourselves on just how 'deep' this romance is. There are moments within the romance where Garrus does kind of display some form of affection towards femshep making it seem that the romance is more then just two f*ck buddies but unfortunately this is rarely explored on the end of femshep.

Frankly I think the f*ck buddies angle is just a poor starting point to begin with. He's a fricking raptor monster! They had a chance to develop femshep herself as a character by allowing the player to express her confusion in regards to her affections for something so 'other worldly' and explore the hows and whys of why she is feeling the way she does, etc etc.

Instead the writers went with "Want to let off some steam". >.>

Don't get me wrong though, by the end of the romance Garrus does care for Shepard in a 'relationshipy' way, it's just poorly built up and executed.

Did you watch the vids?

I agree, it definitely could have been pulled off better. I'm hoping in ME3 it won't t be presented as "best friends who happen to sleep together."
