The problem here is the double standard. It's not that there aren't any attractive male aliens, it's that there are attractive female aliens (for any intents and purposes, the asari are that). No alien should be attractive to humans as a rule. There shouldn't be any blue-, green- or whatever-skinned space babes.Volus Warlord wrote...

I'd add that they shouldn't be mammals or just have mammal glands on same place as humans. Supposedly alien who has all secondary sexual characteristics of human woman is straaange.Ieldra2 wrote...

Hm... "why no aliens with chest hair" would be rather entertaining questionB)

There's a Fanart on DiviantART where the artist imagined the ME Aliens as humans:

The level of attractiveness has nothing to do with what the object is. I mean, buildings can be attractive. Chairs, cupboards. In that way, anything can be attractive.
Sexual attraction is a different matter.

I think BW did a VERY good job with his design. I didn´t play ME series cuz I don´t really like aliens. But thank god I changed my mind!
(it prob has something to do with his voice and awesome badass personality. I don´t find Kolyat and Feron attractive)

Asari are attractive to all Council races. It's a specific thing about them, not just a random human-specific trait thrown in.Ieldra2 wrote...

That is a very high-quality pic. They even got the crack on his head correct. Impressive. I do find it attractive, though I doubt I would if Femshep weren't in it. I know this because I keep staring at her boobs.Schutzstaffel wrote...

His VA actually sounds like that. They really didn't have to do much tweaking at all, if you google him in some other works. You'd recognize him instantly.

That said, I've seen plenty of women who are interested in them and who begged for a Garrus romance in the second game. So obviously they are attractive to a lot of girls. And I still have Kaidan so I'm happy with that.

That's true as well; the Quarians are in a suit, we've only seen part of a dead female Krogan, haven't seen any female Salarians or Turians (in game).

I suppose Thane is meant to be attractive. He's the most human of them.
Mordin's a pretty spry old guy too, don't be hatin'.
Then again, we don't really know the Salarian or Elcor or Turian views on beauty, so we can't really judge them, can we?
You are right about the Elcor, but not so much about the Turians and Salarians. From the conversation overheard in the bar on Ilium we can deduce that the Salarian libido gets its fuel from a supple physique and from skin tone. The Turian's libido is fueled by head fringe. What this means is that neither Turian nor Salarian females differ much from the male and attraction is based upon other more subtle cues. The cultural cues regarding mating are unknown, save that Salarians negotiate breeding contracts with prospective mates and this implies a clinical approach to procreation.
And it is here that we return to the OP's original post, it is highly unlikely that there would be interspecies relationships between races. This is because the physical and cultural cues would be so variant and of course children are not in the cards for such a relationship (is this why they made Miranda a mule?). Therefore, the attraction would have to be based solely on a mental connection. Shepard is lucky in that he has the Asari and the affections of Tali, but it would appear that Quarians key in on mating cues similar to humans. On the bright side, you do have James Vega in ME3.
Hope you like him
