ME3 love scenes will be comparable to those of ME2.

ME1 love scenes were nothing compared to DA:O. I'd prefer something more along the lines of that game. They were tasteful and meaningful, plus the music was perfect.

Why does 'better' always have to mean 'more nudity'?

Exactly. But I do like the romance scenes from ME 1 better then ME 2. Although, the Miranda romance ending was well done. It was tasteful, yet hot. The LOTSB was a great overall romance story, however, it could have used a little more spice at the end. I mean, you haven't been with Liara in two years, you touch her back, her eye go black, and then leaves with a hug. She going to be the mother of your little blue kiddies and she leaves with a hug? Don't get me wrong, I loved that DLC. I'm just sayin you can't give her a passionate kiss good bye?ElitePinecone wrote...

It doesn't, but it's a lot more appropriate than what we got in ME2; I realize there were twleve characters to write, but when something like the Garrus head-bump qualifies as a "Romance Scene," we have a problem. The only ones in ME2 that were remotely mature and acceptable were Miranda's, and possibly Jack's.
When two adults become intimate, clothes generally disappear. ME1 had no problems with this, and it was still tasteful. It just makes sense.

I agree with you both. The Miranda love scene didn't have nudity, but it was climatic, (no pun intended), and in the style of ME1. The ME 1 Ash and Liara love scenes were well done, but there wasn't anything distasteful about them. They just had a visually passionate sense about them, that some of the ME 2 scenes didn't have.

That might be as bad the Ash horizon hug. Yea babe, I've been dead, then in a coma for the past two years. I finally get to see the love of my life and then I get hug action ../../../images/forum/emoticons/angry.pngFollowed by an email.../../../images/forum/emoticons/unsure.pngRandom Jerkface wrote...

I found nothing wrong with the romance scenes in ME 1, I thought they were very tasteful. I think as long as it captures the characters' love for eachother it will be good. I also don't mean it to be prudish, I wouldn't complain if there were nudity. It's just one aspect of the game after all.
And anything would be better than how funny ther white underware were in DA:O.

The Horizon scene was contrived garbage from the beginning, there was no upisde to it at all. Sorry, but Bioware seriously dropped the ball on that one; its like they remember at the last minute that the VS still hadn't made it into the story, and pieced that scene together at the end. No resolution, no way to defend yourself, no DLC like Lair to explain things better, just, Nothing.
And Naked Garrus is fine by me.

Sorry if I'm posting something that's been out there for a minute. However, I thought it contributes to our discussion.

That could be good or bad.
If it's like the Garrus scene, then I've lost all faith in Bioware.
Miranda and Jacob scenes were kind of on the right track.
Enough of this fully clothed nonsense!
I can forgive the laughable scenes in the DA games because the romance continues after the love scenes, but here in ME it doesn't. So if this is gonna continue in ME3 where the love scenes is the conclusion, the climax, the final part of the romance sub-plot, then it BETTER be damn good!

It doesn't, of course. The problem is that while I don't need to see everything, what I see must be convincing. If "convincing" for a particular scene would reasonably include nudity, then it must be there.ElitePinecone wrote...

"Good" means that I must be able to believe in what I see. Some of the ME2 scenes fail miserably in that. If you notice at first glance that a censoring mindset has been applied to the scene, then it will fail.

Just wanted to say that no, it's not because you're a girl, because I'm all for tasteful nudity in games.
Every one has their own "mileage may vary" take on things is all.
It would be awesome if they were able to go back to the kind of scenes they had back in me1. Perhaps with even some post coital cuddling and reflection before fighting off the big bad, but I think back on what happened on Fox News and... I can understand why they've chosen to go the route they did.

I don't care if the romance scene's in ME3 are ME1 style or ME2 style, to me its important fo ME romance show's that the two character's love each other
it needs to be romantic but their needs some action too.

So, count yourself lucky, we'll probably get the mix of Mass Effect 1 and 2. Which I am totally happy with.
