I am excited to see what new lithos come out. (While I try not to pull my hair out waiting for me3) I am still pulling for a Morrigan dragon age litho that will never come but I can still try.

@Elmasmister I like the 500 run and I find nothing wrong with it. People who sell them on ebay yeah it stinks but if it is still a 1 per customer limit that is always good to help comb down that happening. I won't complain about ebayers though I was able to get my miranda litho because of it otherwise I never would have gotten one. Yeah it cost me more but I really wanted it and put up the money for it and don't regret it for a second.

But if the run size was 800 you probably wouldn't have missed out on Miranda, anyway?

And, if you had, it would be cheaper on ebay...

The only ones to miss out are the ebay'ers themselves, and, of course, those people to whom a sense of exclusivity makes them feel important.

To lose the 800 run is a bad move.

Agree to disagree

The higher the edition runs, the more the value naturally dissipates, no matter how rad the lithograph may be. Just take a look at the Reaper and Prototype lithos, slowly degenerating in the bioware store.

The whole underlying satisfaction of looking up at your wall and seeing a framed litho lies in the fact that the edition size is of 500-...The rarer the litho is, the more gratifying owning it becomes. It also adds to the excitement and anxiety of waiting for it to go up for sale, and when you finally get it you think to yourself "**** yeah, there's only 500 and I got one...WHATCHU KNOW ABOUT LIMITED EDITION LITHOGRAPHS HATA?!"

If I had my way, I'd have an edition size of 300 (or less)

@jay. - well said.

With increasing run numbers the lithos simply become glorified posters as well and are not worth the currently ridiculous price tag that they carry. A run of 800 `was certainly a mistake on many levels. Furthermore the minis (unsigned and unnumbered) are generally available to those who did not purchase earlier, for whatever reason, at a more affordable price. It is only on a few lithos that a mini has not been made that someone could truly "miss out"

So you guys saw my little post, eh? I'll get information to you this week (if I can, of course.)

We are, in fact, going back to the -500- print run, after a lot of feedback and trying to take everyone's opinions into account we decided that returning to that number was the correct move.

Really looking forward to getting all of you information on what we'll be offering over the next few months, in both art and apparel!

Can't wait to see what the new litho's will bring, here's hoping for some Asari character. My wallet however is gently weeping.

Actually you probably would've got one if people hadn't been buying them for the sole purpose of selling them on: there was a time when the lithos would be up there for weeks rather than selling out in a couple of minutes: prior to the Ebayers moving in, things were a lot more relaxed.

How many lihos really goes up on ebay directly after they are sold out form the store? A few yes, but not exactly 50+. Most still goes to "the fans".
So I think a 500 print run, split sale (250 first and couple of hours later the rest) and ONE litho per costumer are good size and rules, sure someone will miss out but I don't think there is any way around it if you want keep the uniqueness and collector value of the lithos.
