Mass Effect 3 PC vs Console

Is it true that if you buy one game on Steam they ALL have to be from Steam if I want to import? I cant say, have ME1 on Steam, ME2 from M$ and ME3 hard copy? Also this would be a whole lot easier if ME3 didnt have Co-op, im really interested in how that will work but for me I would only be able to use that on the 360 since I dont know anyone else with a computor that can run ME.
So an details on what differences the different versions have will be appreciated and will hopefully make my decision easier.

For ME3 it mostly comes down to whether you want to deal with Origin or not.

Oh ****! Before I go I'll just say this. I played 1 and 2 on pc but I then switched to PS3 when it came out, but that was just because of a personal preference for console gaming, and I don't have a 360. I think you should chose the format you like better, do you like playing PC, or do you prefer playing on a sofa with an HD tv?

of course its going to be a lot better on pc performance-wise. the one thing you'd have to consider, which most of the recent fuzz is all about, is whether or not you'd care about origin being on your rig.

No. All saves are stored in Documents - BioWare - Mass Effect (2) - Save. Same for all versions. The format of the save files does not change.Spartan627 wrote...

it doesnt matter what version you have, you can use all PC-saves without converting them or anything.

But they give you a free shotgun to compensate your stuff being violated...

Um, I hook my PC and my PS3 to my plasma tv.
Only decision that should matter is what system your saves are already on

Even though people have told me that PC is better for all of this:
1. Faster load times
2. Much more fps
3. Better graphics
4. Mods (My friend has shown me some fantastic mods)
5. Using a mouse for shooters is apparently much easier than analog sticks
6. If not you can just plug in a controller, and have all of the above (Console user friendly)
But still, I'd rather stick with my smexy 360.

i thought there is a converter for XB-saves -> PC-saves and the other way round.
@wookie: no, they dont give you anything if you dont preorder

At one time, I would have considered restarting and going into it on PC...
But Origin is something I just can't commit myself to, sorry. I'll finish this Opera how I started it.

Consoles don't have Origin crap so that unfortunately makes them automatically superior
But consoles don't have mods. *sadface*
It really all comes down to preference, OP. There are positives and negatives to any gaming set-up.
I'm stuck with my 360 due to crap computers. I'm okay with that though. *shrug*

And by that I don't just mean Origin, Steam and what have you. I also mean PC specs and the like.

Shame, since I was a huge fan of the Mass Effect series, and I'm currently playing through ME2 again on Steam.
