Until EA gets over itself and puts the game on Steam, I won't be spending my money on it.

Shame, since I was a huge fan of the Mass Effect series, and I'm currently playing through ME2 again on Steam.

If you want to connect to your consumers, do it by doing what your consumers want.

This is not a whine thread. You steam babies are all over the place.
ps; Steam can suck it.

If you have a pc that can run it, there's no reason not to get the pc version.

If you already have a PC hardware that can run it, like the OP, this argument is not valid since console games are more expensive than PC games in most regions. The OP runs Mass Effect smoother on his PC so the decision to buy ME3 on PC would be the least expensive.

PC:
Better in every way except origin.

Console:
Worse in every way except origin.

You decide.

I have no problem with any of my Mass Effect (1 or 2), and no i dont have a computer that have ha PC hardware that can run ME3, why should i even have it if I do have to rebuild it when future games is released?

This is pretty much true - Origin is the crux of the argument. The PC also has modding, if that'll sway you in any way.

I'd recommend the PC in general, but if you don't like the sound of Origin I'd go console.

it seems the main argument is that Origin suck, but can someone explain why? I mean ya I would rather not have it either but I already have it for Battlefield 3.

Is it just that its an 'organizer' or is their something else that im not getting because so far I haven't had that many problems with it and since I will almost never use the online for ME3 if i get it on PC i dont think I would have that many problems

It's because it's a memory hog and it scans your hard drive even before you agree to it's Terms of Service. The EULA is also pretty ambiguous in several places as to what they can do with that data. There's more complete information available elsewhere online, I'm no expert.

Origin sucks but it's not a reason to go console over PC.

PC.
  • Better visuals (Full/Native 1080p, unlike console versions)
  • Better performance (60fps+, unless there's a cap)
  • Faster loading times
  • Superior controls (In my opinion. I prefer the Keyboard and Mouse)
  • I own Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 on PC. My save files are there.
Origin doesn't bother me. At all. I'm happily going with the PC version.

I will be okay with Origin once it's exactly like Steam. Thing is, Origin is SO unnecessary because of Steam. EA will lose money because of Origin when they think they will gain money. ****ing idiots I'd say.

Anyhow, let's not make this another Origin-thread. Back to topic.

If you have a PC that can run ME3 (in other words, if it can run ME1 and 2) and you have savegames on the PC for both, then I say buy it for PC. IMO it's a much richer experience for pretty much every reason. And as stated above, Origin really isn't a reason to switch to console since Origin really can't get any worse. With any luck it will lead EA to bankrupcy or at least almost so they learn something.

Console is a better choice
i) Mods are limited and normally not worth it
ii) Origin free, meaning no risk of having your game revoked or privacy invasion
iii) No compatibility issues (pending hardware)
iv) Access to friends lists and Live/PSN community (relevant to MP)
v) Resale (save a fortune if you are one of those buy and trade/sell gamers)

If you want to get the most out of combat, PC is the way to go, simply due to the fact that you can hotkey almost all your abilities + companion abilities.
This is a necessity for good Insanity speed runs (or if you just enjoy obliterating enemies in a precise, beautiful and spectacular fashion that no game except for Bulletstorm can compare with).

These threads are pointless. There are a ton of them and they just devolve into platform wars because people are too emotionally invested in their tools. It is possible to own multiple systems and game on each of them. I play sports on PS3 and shooters/RPGs on the PC. Who cares which one is better? Pick whichever one you like.

Consoles don't have Origin crap so that unfortunately makes them automatically superior

I have to sadly agree.

PC is better in a whole host of ways (control, graphics, etc.) but having spyware makes PC the automatic loser.

Well, from my experience, I prefer 360 as it's easier to play games than on pc, but its the choice that you need to make for your self and one else can decide for you.

PC:
+ Faster loading times
+ Better framerate
+ Better resolution and graphics
+ Mods
+ Mouse & Keyboard
+ Cheaper

PS3/Xbox 360:
+ No Origin

Conclusion: Console version is better

Well, you don't HAVE to use Origin to play ME3 on PC, but that involves stuff that people don't like to duscuss on this forum. Plus that you can't play multiplayer without Origin.

I like the versatility of the PC.

Just as Sebbe said.
So with a bit of luck the only downside of the PC will disappear.
As for the game, my 2 GTX580s are ready. And so is my body.

Compatibility issues are a thing of the past,  hasn't been a problem in around a decade.  In fact,  the last game I recall seeing any compatibility issues with was Diablo 2,  and that was because of SecuROM,  not the game.

People not updating their drivers can sometimes cause problems,  but then,  I'd argue that if you disconnect your internet connection on your console you'll see just as many problems,  so this is end user,  not platform.

All the big publishers hate PC gaming because it is hard to control and with so many creative people that would do mods for free that are better than overpriced DLC they feel threatened. Just look at how crazy the modding is for Fallout 3 or Oblivon and nobody bought the DLC...oh wait...Anyway, they(publishers) don't care about the future of the industry and how many current developers used to be modders. They also don't understand that pleasing your customers and building a good reputation like Blizzard (until recently) is much better on the long run than making a quick buck based on overcharged marketing and high expectations.
They only care about profit for the next 2 months or so. Or so it looks.
So all the big publishers have formed a secret organization, called the illuminati that methodically introduces more and more annoyances such as origin and worse (ubisoft) to make PC gaming less and less attractive. They still get competition from people like Boris Vorontsov with his ENB series that makes any dx9 game (including both Mass Effects) look much better, fully tweakable, and more up to date with cinematic per-pixel-lighting by simply putting a few files into the main folder. Other people are forced to use texmod and some of the many modded textures to fix some of the out-of-place low res textures in the mass effect series, since there has never been any official support for that matter. Hell, even fixing a main character face texture (Garrus) is apparently not as important as shoving visors and sun glasses into characters faces through DLC that don't fit at all and make cut scenes look silly.

There is no clear answer for your question. PC gaming has by far the most potential but is being treated like crap. If you like getting the most out of your games with community support/mods and not break your fingers trying to aim at something that moves while moving your own character with a controller play on PC. If you don't like waving through a sea of crap consisting of DRM, registrations, third party software, spy ware, forced internet connection and eventually looking for ways to shut all that stuff off, which has become it's own game, then play on consoles.

Your graphics cards costs more than a good computer XD
Atleast here in Sweden. They are like $800 each.
