That's not true. I have friends that use mods on the Xbox 360. I'm sure how they do it.

Mods on PC are generally acceptable.

Modding a console can warrant you a lifetime ban and a lot of trouble.

alright well it looks like this hasnt helped at all because it seems the only real difference between console and PC is PC performs better but console (360) has party chat and community.

So it basically comes down to do I want to **** while playing the game or do I want to play with friends... not an easy choice XD

I don't have a console so I'll be playing this on my computer like I did for Mass Effect 1 and 2. I don't have a problem with Origin.

Steam know your gaming habits, and it scans your hardware... what wrong with origin again?

Compatibility issues are a thing of the past,  hasn't been a problem in around a decade.  In fact,  the last game I recall seeing any compatibility issues with was Diablo 2,  and that was because of SecuROM,  not the game.

People not updating their drivers can sometimes cause problems,  but then,  I'd argue that if you disconnect your internet connection on your console you'll see just as many problems,  so this is end user,  not platform.

Wrong. Can anyone play a retail version of Star Wars: TIE Fighter on a Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 running PC? Last time I checked, no.

Consoles will forever be infinitely better than PC gaming for one simple reason: you will never have to install spyware to play a game you already bought and even spying on consoles is completely pointless....there's no personal info or documents there....they can collect data about how I play games all day every day, I don't care about that.

Common sense will forever be infinitely better than consoles vs pc arguments because any sane person would seperate his sensitive data from access by such programms, mostly by means of having a seperate workstation pc.

Preference? My ass...

Look, if PCs weren't superior then nobody would spend time getting to know the hardware and to spend between $500-$4000 on a gaming rig. For all of that dedication and money it had damn well better be the best gaming experience available. Funny thing is that consoles are so out of date that even a $500 can easily out perform the console. Also Steam recently had 5,000,000 concurrent users, and that is not even an exaggeration. I'll let that sink in. That is 5 MILLION people logged in to Steam at the exact same moment.

For the record PCs support gamepads and has downloadable software which supports it. ThePC box can also be quite compact and light if you like. Makes them portable, so it's easier to bring with you

Wrong. Can anyone play a retail version of Star Wars: TIE Fighter on a Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 running PC? Last time I checked, no.

First,  the counter-response is "Can anyone play a retail version of Super Mario Bros on a X-box?  Or even most X-box/PSx games on a modern console"?  No.

But,  OTOH,  I can run numerous emulators to play a retail version of Star Wars: Tie Fighter on a Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 PC.

http://www.dosbox.com/

So you might want to do a little bit more checking next time,  because every PC game ever written is playable on a modern PC.

Regardless,  the question was compatibility,  which your post fails to address.  Considering that you aren't aware of the theory behind emulation,  and you don't realize that this is not a compatibility issue,  it's a OS issue,  I'd respectfully suggest you might want to bow out now.  You do not know enough about computers to get into this discussion about compatibility,  this is going to go downhill real fast if you don't know the difference between a hardware incompatibility and a driver.

Because honestly,  your post was literally the equivalent of claiming that PC's have compatibility problems because they don't run programs written for OS X,  which in console terms means the PS3 has compatibility problems because it doesn't run 360's discs.

I love gaming.
I'm not lazy.
I'm not lacking in money.

So that makes PC the best option.

Id say go with the platform you prefer to play ME on. I choose to play it on PS3 but thats because the 360 failed me when I had one and I did experience ME1 first hand before the 360 failed. I just didnt wanna have to deal with the 360 problems and I still have a PS2(older one) that works so I went back to Sony because I trusted their system. But overall got with your preferred system, I plan to get ME series on the 360 with a new 360 when I can afford to do that. Id like to see how different ME3 will be and sorta like to see how the cameos change my experience since the PS3 has it going renegade that prevents the cameos.

As soon as you can post something that isn't condescending, and can understand subjectivity.

as weird as it sounds (typing this on a PC), I think ME should be optimize for its home, namely the 360.

I'd be a hypocrite on one hand to complain about Dragon Age 2 being designed for the console and then turn around and think that ME should be PC focused..

Console for me. I just prefer to play games on a dedicated machine for it rather than my computer, the way I see it the computer is for work and 360 for play. Granted I could of potentially just built a new machine solely for gaming, but when my friends use 360 I really don't see the point.

You make a great point, here.  Even though I have become more of  PC gamer these days, it is mainly because I do not play online games or multiplayer.  Also, most of my friends sold off their gaming systems once they started families (i.e. dad sells 360 and buys Wii for the kids).  So, I don't even have someone to play Madden with online anymore.

That's when I sold my 360 and beefed up my PC for gaming.  I do have a PS3 but mainly use it for Blu Ray and as a media center in my theater room.  I do play an occasional game on it (Uncharted, Madden, etc.) but I will be playing ME3 on my PC as that is where my saves are.

It all comes down to how you like to game.  If you are an online player with lots of friends on one system or the other...play it on console!  If you have some extra $$ to build a good gaming rig...go that route.

How about we drop the elitism, folks.  They are all just computers, after all.
