The problem with Bioware is that they want to have epic storytelling and well written characters and such but when it comes to making a living breathing world with a variety of inhabitants they twiddle their fingers like it's some impossible feat. It's like we are stuck in the PS2 era

Did Skyrim do the living breathng world right? I know the Elderscrolls series has male and female models of all races. You can even choose your own race.

In the post-Skyrim era we are in, ME3 really should have female models of aliens. Skyrim definitely did the living breathing world right- now it's time for Bioware to step up and do the same.

If Skyrim can make a fanboy out of a Krogan, it can make a fanboy out of me. I'm going to get that game, where you can see female aliens.:o

Yeah, don't anyone DARE start that horsecrap argument about women having less testosterone balls muscle mass blah blah effing blah. That's got absolutely nothing to do with anything you sexist dimwits with your stupid Civil War era mentalities.

Seriously why the hell is Bioware so goddamn male chauvanist? Why do they put more effort into males than females? Seriously, they cut shmexylicious female dwarves out of DA2 entirely, and broke their word completely about female qunari. And we have yet to see a single female alien in the goddamn ME universe.

Asari don't count because they're a mono gender race. Neither do Quarians because they're always in those stupid space suits and we don't even know what either sex looks like.

Why do female turians, salarians, drell, yahg, vorcha, krogan, batarians, volus, elcor and hanar seem to be non existent? Through dialogue we know that these races DO have females. So why the hell do we never see any?

And the hand-wavey excuse "oh they don't usually leave their home planets" is absolute crock, these are ALEINS we're talking about, they're goddamn cultural attitudes and mentalities are supposed to be ALIEN, meaning absolutely nothing like ours, being the pathetic sexualist piece of crap ugly ass apes we are. And in a species that's become an thoroughly modern interstellar civilization, the idea of not ONE single female EVER going out and travelling the galaxy and talking to people of other species is absurd. A very very flimsy excuse. And you're stupid.

They do it better than Bioware. Because Bioware are still just putting NPCs somewhere where they stand the entire game and wait for the protagonist to talk to them. In a living breathing world I at least expect people (npcs) to move around and be in different places at times. Like they have a life other than giving the protagonist quests.

We've seen three drell, and one yahg (which we don't actually know the gender of).  The genders of volus, vorcha, hanar, and elcor are never brought up, so for all we know we could have basically only seen females of those spiecies.  At least one female krogan will be in ME3 and there is one in ME2 (she's an easter egg, and while there isn't a real visual distinction there is a slightly higher pitched voice and she says she's female).  Salarians only have a few females, and they stay on their home planet.

The only two upon which I agree with you are batarians and turians, they should totally have more female representation.  Also we've exclusively seen female rachni, and if you're going to say quarians don't count, then volus don't count either.

I did defintiely want a female qunari companion, but they decided not to include them (honestly I wrote the story in my head that she was Tal-Vashoth who wanted to fight... she fought with a two handed weapon, but used it more gracefully than other two hand weapon weilders... also she'd incorperate her horns into the fight).

You could point out that the dominant sex in any species with two genders (so not Asari) seem to be male. Even with the humans (TIM, Udina, Anders, Hackett, any other Admiral, etc.). So the OP is not all wrong. I mean they could at least have made humanity more balanced or invented any alien race that is only represented by their females while the males are hidden. But they didn't do that, did they? I know Bioware like to be known for being most progressive and some of their fans like to point out the fact. But they are not as progressive as they could be. At least not enough to pat their shoulders, as I said in another recent thread, no reason to congratulate the least sexist person in a room full of sexists. I know this sounds harsh, but reality bites.

To be fair though, Bethesda or Obsidian are no better. Either they don't think much about it or they think that their mostly male target group would be offended by too many females in important positions. Which I really hope isn't so. I at least can say that I wouldn't feel in anyway insulted/offended if they had more female characters in their games, in important roles.

You know telling women that their place is in the kitchen got old last century. And since this is neither acceptable nor funny I am going to report you.

They probably aren't making more female aliens because they couldn't figure out a way for it to make sense for them to have gargantuan boobs.

Just my 2¢

Shame we won't see any female aliens in ME3 ( besides the female Krogan whom we barely see anyhow since she is covered from head to toe ). One of the many reasons why I would like to see the ME games get remade on the Next gen systems is that I would like to see what Bioware could do with the extra processing power, Bigger levels with more detail, non static NPC's, more varieties of NPC's ( fat people, tall people, short people, kids and of course female aliens ). Of course a large part of the problem why there aren't any female aliens in the ME games is because Bioware doesn't really want to go there, they either don't know how female Krogans, Salarians, Turaians, Batarians, etc are supposed to look or they know but think the fan base won't be happy with the designs and as such refuse to go down that route for fear of disappointing the fans.

You know that the mental capabilities and/or hormonal level influence on cognitive processes of women didnt change much from last century?

Ah yes, don't even try and start a discussion on "Why females can't be at the head of society, while males are kept behind the scenes". It's impossible to most people to stick to a simple model which is used in this topic.

Ah, ignore the previous statement. I am stupid man, i want meat.

Yes he's being sexist, but you too are now also being insulting.

If you're reporting him for a sexist remark; then he can report you for that.

In summary; quit it the pair of ye.

I don't think your views are suited for off-topic either. You can pm me if you wish but I can already tell you that I won't agree with what you say. My chancellor (most powerful political person) in my country is a woman. And we are talking about fiction that is supposed to happen more than 100 years in the future. So ... blah.
