or you know, Zaheer dies in the season finale and we have our first recorded deathstreak by an Avatar on the show and she'll have to handle the fallout afterwards while struggling with the validity of Zaheer's ideas.
That would certainly be interesting.

Maybe Tenzin'll die.
I hope. I want the Red Lotus to win.
Look what the spirits brought:

can't wait for finale

After watching the two episodes, without spoilers, I think the general appeal for everybody here will be a that Episode 12 and 13 offers a good solid ending to Season 3 that also manages to leave open for a possibly intriguing season 4, but ultimately Zaheer and his 3 members were a big disappointment.

Zaheer won. His philosophy and conviction has Korra questioning and doubting.
That good, huh?
Do any of these happen? (Don't specify which)
- Korrasami. If only...
- Bolin is able to metal/lava bend.
- Korra speaks to Guru Laghima in the Spirit World and learns more about his philosophy.
- Some backstory on our fearless foursome.
- Zuko returns and kicks ass (possibly with his daughter).
- Iroh shows up with Republic Forces and kicks ass as well.
- Korra reconnects with her past lives.
- Toph shows up and kicks ass (maybe even teaches Bolin?)
- Tenzin is still alive.
- Korra energybends and possibly even takes away the foursome's bending.
11. Team Avatar killed some or all of the Red Lotus foursome.
Yes.
Zaheer won. His philosophy and conviction has Korra questioning and doubting.
Korra was not questioning and doubting. She was just sad and depressed because
Finished up the last two episodes.
That was good. Bolin Lavabending was awesome.
Also I may ship KorrAsami a little....
Uh anyway, Zaheer turned into a whiney little loser when he lost didn't he?
That was quite an entertaining episode.
That said I did enjoy it and found the fight quite enjoyable. They did however do a lot to make me dislike the Red Lotus. There had been a few events that made me think they weren't truly evil but that line has been crossed.
That state in which Korra is in at the end, hopefully she will stay that way permanently or at least for the next whole season.

I sure thought he did. His handling of defeat was far from what I call graceful. It's a shame no one rubbed salt in his wounds.

Spoiler
He seemed a pretty calm and collected villain always 2 steps ahead of everyone else. Then when he lost he turned into a little girl. A little underwhelming but better than how Amon went out.
Does anyone else think the bald Jinora looks exactly like Aang?
Does anyone else think the bald Jinora looks exactly like Aang?
Kinda.
But Aang was pretty feminine looking.
Remember the Ember Island Players?
She does totally look like Aang.

You Korrasami shippers have created a monster. I will never forgive you!!

Yeah, you may be right. I'm hoping some of what Zaheer said got to her pyschologically though. Not the anarchy bit, the Avatar representing imbalance.

Jinora is her grandfather's granddaughter. She's the Airbending Master we deserve, but not the one we need right now.
Bittersweet ending and mos def the best Book of LOK. It still doesn't beat out Books Earth or Fire though.
I like how both the bad guys and good guys kill their opponents this season. A battle has no stake when there is no potential for death.

And that it's for idealogical reasons. This wasn't your average good vs evil storyline.
