The final episodes were good and book 3 was clearly the best in LoK. The Red Lotus was quite underwhelming in the end, though. I have a feeling that the next book will be a little darker considering how this one ended.

also dat korrasami moment

I was certain that they would kiss on that moment  . So close...

The Legend of Korra is still a Nickalodeon show.  It is still a show whose primary audiences are children and teenagers. While the show now has killings and deaths, I do not believe it will go as far as showing and promoting homosexuality.  And we already know from past episodes and seasons that both Korra and Asami are heterosexual.

That good, huh?

Do any of these happen? (Don't specify which)

  • Korrasami. If only...
  • Bolin is able to metal/lava bend.
  • Korra speaks to Guru Laghima in the Spirit World and learns more about his philosophy.
  • Some backstory on our fearless foursome.
  • Zuko returns and kicks ass (possibly with his daughter).
  • Iroh shows up with Republic Forces and kicks ass as well.
  • Korra reconnects with her past lives.
  • Toph shows up and kicks ass (maybe even teaches Bolin?)
  • Tenzin is still alive.
  • Korra energybends and possibly even takes away the foursome's bending.

When Korra was chained up, she did say, "when I get out of here, none of you will survive!"  So the least she can do is to take away Zaheer's bending.

Two good episodes. Curious to see what they are gonna do with the final season.

During which episode took it place? Because I actually didn't see it at all.

I didn't know what that was until I googled it, have never seen the show, and see absolutely zero connection between them other than 'two ships you personally don't like'.

Oh, those parts.

Looked more like a good friend supporting her in difficult times. Nothing more.

But that's just me.

Its cute how Tenzin's daughter looks like Aang with her new hair do! The Korrasami ship has also picked up steam. Its not a yes, but theres too much there to say its a no placing it at a solid maybe. And now that Asami seems to be taking on the caretaker in their relationship something might spark between the two.

Meanwhile I looked up what mercury poisoning can do to a person. First and foremost lets talk about stuff that probably wont be an issue. Korra's Kidneys. Seeing as all the mercury got siphoned out her kidneys wont be too damaged. Her skin isnt peeling either so thats a good sign.

Now lets talk about what probably DID affect Korra the most. Primarily the muscle weakness and the mood change. With that much mercury poisoning your system it doesnt just cause muscle weakness but it affects co-ordination too. Theres a chance if she gains the ability to walk again or when she gainst the ability to walk, her Avatar-Fu will be downgraded. And that brings us to the other point, her mood change. I think this is a permanent thing. We'll be seeing a lot more of Melancholy of Korrasuzumia from now on. She will most likely be very reserved from now on, almost like a robot with the occasional outbursts of emotion, another symptom of the poisoning.

While the poison is out already, while it was inside her it was doing damage. And I think next season we're going to see a very very different Korra. Im even willing to guess that we'll have a big timeskip where they are fully fledged Adults.

YMMV.

But this isn't just Yuri Goggles. Anecdote: another friend of mine in the history department watches the show religiously. I've been pushing Korrasami since Book 1, and he's always good-naturedly made fun of me for it (along with all of my other f/f crackships). He dislikes most non-obvious ships; for example, he thinks that Zutarans are the scum of the Earth.

He got to watch the episodes last night because they leaked. Before I saw them today, he told me not to spend too much time gloating, but he could actually see Korrasami being a legit Thing now.

Well, I'm officially depressed after that (admittedly amazing) season finale.

I know they're hard at work on animating Season 4. Do we know if there's any chance of that being ready to go soon?

I noticed Korra had bags under her eyes. Looks like the insomnia bit from the mercury poisoning has been running full steam in the 2week timeskip.

The more I watch it the more confused I get. What was that tear in the last shot of the season? Was she happy? Was she sad? Was she regretting what happened to her? Why was it so important to the writers that they needed it to be the last shot of the season? Theres obviously great significance behind that but I cant figure it out. What do you bros think?

Not just you,

That is a hell of a ending and I am a bit floored about it all.

Korra has been stuck in a rut compared to the first show. Instead of the over all story with long longer seasons Korra has been seasonal story arcs with less episodes and that does hurt the development of characters new and old.

All and all there is a overall arch of "restoring balance" from the baddies which I am interested in seeing how it all ends up.

Ya, they need more episodes to really tell their story.

All in all, was very pleased. I just wanna know why Korra cried at the end.

Edit: Never mind.

Damn that finale was good but I agree the Red Lotus fall flat at the end, shame really they were great but they suffered the same problem with Amon.

So it was that simple, huh? Truth be told, I expected something a bit more elaborate from Zaheer. Will try to post a review later today.
