Not sure I buy that Korra broke her legs. I mean, it is possible. She fell from quite a fall and even I went "Ouch! did her legs brake?" though after rewatching that scene Korra uses airbending just before the fall, and considering no one states that her legs are broken, I think that can be crossed from the list.

For why she is crying, well there can be many different reasons. It's possible it is basically nothing important that she is crying about, but that would seem strange since I don't see Korra to be that kind of person. I think we will know when Season4 hits. Hopefully we don't have to wait til July 2015...

I think she was still just very emotional of all the stuff that had happend to her.

She almost died and would break the avatar cycle....again.

Remember how this also happend back in season 1?

fixed "happened" part :P
here's so much you can tolerate with everything that happened to a person's life.
however, me and Korra are related in ways that events have happened to us in a way.. an stronger way.

she is crying because she fears that she will not be able handle stuff without Past Avatars here to help her. not even Avatar Team can give her some relief. only one thing she needs the most: to become whole again.

in the events she has experienced, really divided her in half. believe me, I went through that experience and I can tell you, it is not pretty sight from my own eyes. such events like that leave you very changed person. the life she knows it will never be same again.

I think that scene with Asami and Korra was the best and perhaps a nod from the creators to all who'd like to see them together :D

Perhaps just damage from the mercury and her battle with Zaheer

A lot of people complain that a flying airbender is ridiculous.  An airbender being able to fly is not that much for a stretch.  The air bisons are the original airbenders, and they can fly.  Air bisons use airbending to fly.  We have known that since the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Here is why only Zaheer could fly:

The combustion lady P'Li's was the last earthly and emotional attachment for Zaheer.  When P'Li blew off her own head, her death released him of his only earthly tether, and that allowed him to fly.   So, in order for an airbender to be able to fly, he must be able to let go of all earthly possessions and all emotional attachments -- friends, family, loved ones.  He must let go of all of them.  Only Zaheer was able to do accomplish that.  Even Aang (who cared for Katara and his friends) and Tenzin (who cared for his wife and children) could not let go of their earthly emotional attachments, so they would never be able to fly.

I'm not saying it's impossible because I've been wondering myself why airbenders don't fly. I'm saying it didn't add anything to the story except provide a convenient means for Zaheer to escape and made him even more OP. Plus, I'm not buying Zaheer let go of all "earthly desires."

I think a lot of people are looking too deep in the whole Kosami aspect.  Can I see it happening?  Yes, do I see it developing further than just two close friends?  No.  Still though, I love that scene with both of them at the end -

As soon as the P'Li scene happened, I think he did "let go".

It's one way of looking at it. It's just disappointing because Zaheer had so much potential as a villain.

EDIT: He's still a better villain than Unalaq but Amon remains the best.

Ultimately, I believe he succeeded.  Earth Kingdom is a disaster, Korra is an emotional & physical wreck (which, we don't know how severe) and the people need her now, more than ever and the world is still changing as we speak.  It didn't become the "era" he wanted, but I believe he did enough to cause an interesting season four, hopefully.  I wonder what themes they're going to tread across.

I thought that the other 3 were benders before Korra let the cat out of the bag

I know P'Li was from the jump. I was never sure about the other two. And Zaheer definitely wasn't.

The other 3 were benders originally. Their prisons were designed in a way they could not escape using their bending (lava guy's prison was wooden and surrounded by water, for example)

Remember, forget this woman. She will in no way be important in future episodes.

is the same person as...

... previously shown up on a newspaper front page in Book 3 (this season) Episode 5: The Metal Clan.

Captain Kuvira, voiced by Zelda Williams, the only daughter of the recently departed Robin Williams.

Yup. Still a scrub.

On another note, Asami is still best character. After Varrick

It's a shame Varrick didn't get to do a lot this season.

Ah. Makes sense then. Still, them dudes were OP. Or maybe everyone else BUT Tenzin is a scrub. Yeah I'll go with that. Bumi has an excuse to be a scrub fighting them, but Kya doesn't. She's been such a disappointment. I was hoping she'd be a better Waterbender than Korra at least.

Kya actually held her own against Zaheer earlier in the season.

People need to learn to fix there own problems, I don't know why these people seem to only support broken forms of government. LOL. Be that Monarchy, Dictatorship or Democracy. The people seem to love there incompetence. As for Zaheer and his goals, a little anarchy here and there is good imo. Zaheer wanted a world order based on it though, so he failed in that respect.

Yeah, pretty much. I suppose its possible that his thoughts had zero inner turmoil five seconds after her death, I kinda doubt it though. And that's if she was the only thing supposedly holding him back.

It's a shame Varrick didn't get to do a lot this season.

I'll wager he's somehow trying to take advantage of the world's chaotic state. Hopefully the next book is Varrick's time to shine!

So, finished with the third season of Avatar: The Writers Love Jinora. It was a sound 'meh' instead of a 'wtf', but I guess you can't really up the tension when you already did the world is going to be over plot.
