Still new to the whole fan base..am I missing something with Korra and Asami? People seem to think they are hooking up..am I missing the Lesbian subtexts in the shows?    As I said I play little attention to the romance in these shows I see them as blah drama...If so then grats to Nick taking the plunge with gay cartoon characters.

I wouldn't know. I don't pay attention to ships long enough to really think about it. That I'm also dense when it comes to romance so I take Romantic dialogue as just friendly talk. It takes like a declaration of love or something for me to make the connection I failed to see in the past.  *Shrugs*

I think it mostly comes from people wanting to see the look on Mako's face when that happens.

Also: Been catching up on AtlA, finished Book One. Yeah, that's kinda hard to top. As great as Aang is, I'm a bigger fan of Katara and Zuko. Zuko's quite a brave one to pull off what he's done. Sokka doesn't do much for me. :/ Katara's got some serious backstory and a more assertive female character is always welcome.

KATARA IS QUEEN. Probably my pick for the most graceful bender of either series. She makes waterbending look like art.

And Zuko's final fight in ATLA...damn. Jesus Christ, that was by far my favorite action sequence in either series and possible in animation in general.

Well, in preparation for this, I've just finished rewatching The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra up through Season 3. I don't think I'm emotionally prepared for the end of this series. This was pretty much a corner stone of my childhood that's now coming to an end.

Same, and that's why I'm praying to God that this final season will knock it out of the park. It's gonna hurt like hell when it all ends, but goddamn was it one hell of a fun ride.

I actually don't think they're in the Spirit World. I actually believe they are fighting in the Swamp from ATLA.

I agree. There's a lot of footage in that trailer that suggests a fight between Avatar Korra and New Hot Short Hair Korra.

 

After all, it's the same swamp from ATLA, right?

I actually don't think they're in the Spirit World. I actually believe they are fighting in the Swamp from ATLA.

this is swamp of Spirit World. it looks like the ATLA's version, but it's different. pay attention to the lighting on the trees, they don't have blue skies either. if it did, it would be in the world, not Spirit World. Spirit World doesn't have blue skies.
