I'm liking Korra's new cut.

So I realized yesterday that Korra started up again.  I think they handled the 3 year jump pretty well, and seeing where everyone is now is pretty intresting.  I'm also really liking the new designs.

 

I think that was a pretty great start to the season, and I'm pretty excited to see where it goes.

Yeah, it was a bit awkward to watch(and seems a bit stereotypical), but I'm assuming that the writers are going somewhere worthwhile with this. Time will tell. He's like Zapp Brannigan changed into a Leprechaun-Turned-Would-Be-President.

That sounds about right -- Mako is essentially Kiff judging from the dialogue exchanges between the two and how he essentially does all the work.

1. Earth Kingdom Monarchy is gonna get smacked off the map. Kuvira may be a hardass, militant leader, but I don't think she's necessarily wrong either. The monarchy is a total mess, and seriously needs to go.

 

2. Something about the nature of the Avatar will be forever changed. Heck, I could even see the Avatar's function being completely dissolved, cause it seems like the world is at a stage where it might not need an Avatar anymore. Perhaps it is time for the people of the world to govern and guide themselves. How can the world truly come to balance if they always have someone holding their hand?

So I finally saw the season 4 premiere earlier this afternoon. It was great. Kuvira defeated a whole gang of bandits by literally handcuffing them from deep like it was nothing. What a monster. I like her so far but i'm wondering why Opal and so many others seem to be against her. Guess i've got to wait and see.

 

Handcuff bending though? That's cheap as hell! How do you beat that? My brother calls it Stop That bending. Can't wait to see her really go at it with a high level fighter. Mmm...

- His name is Hunlu (or similar, I can't make out the pronunciation but it stands for "chaos" in Chinese which is "hǔnluàn")

- He believes the world should be in chaos (sounds familiar?)
- He's an "ancient" enemy of the Avatar.
- He fought a VERY early incarnation of the Avatar.
- He only existed in the Spirit World. Meaning he's now free after Korra decided to leave the portals open.
