I think Korra's problem with Kuvira is kuvira reminds her of herself. She has unbalanced ideals. And what did S1 Korra have? Unbalanced ideals. She thought she could solve any problem by hitting it hard enough and since she was the Avatar she operated under the construct that what she did was right because shes the avatar, and since shes the avatar what she did was right. Circular.

Also being almost murdered is very traumatic.

Asami will comfort her.

Watching Korra being smacked around made me cringe, and once again Varrick was the highlight of the episode.

Also, Bataar continues to be an unlikable whipped jealous punk who's in desperate need of a brutal beat down. **** he needs to be given the Anakin treatment.

Burned so badly that he can't live without mechanical aid for the wrest of his life?

Varrick did a lot to impress me this episode. I'm glad Varrick didn't just hand the weapon over and I loved the part where he said. "You did the thing!" Personally I believe Bataar is playing with fire and he's going to learn the hard way that powerful technology poses risk to everyone involved. Not that I'm against technology I just don't believe he's going to take the needed safety measures. Kind of like our early experiments with radiation.

That would seem an appropriate death for him. Laying in bed with extreme damage to the DNA to the point that his body is literally falling apart and the only thing that's certain is even water bending won't be saving him.

Now that she's made up with her father, I predict her turning up to help Korra find her own emotional balance in an episode or two. :D

Indeed. Regardless of Varrick's reservations on using spirit nukes, and him witnessing their destructive potential, the kid is still gung-ho on messing around with an unstable energy source in order to please his dear leader. I have a feeling that no matter what happens to him from here on out i'll be unable to empathize or sympathize with his character.

Oh, am I'm the only one who thinks that Kuvira is planning to conquer Republic City since it used to be Earth Kingdom territory?

Kuvira ain't **** without her bending. If Korra actually learned anything from Toph she'd go into the next fight with a plan (water bending to weaken the earth and Chi blocking to take Kuvira out of the fight).

I agree about needing a plan, but I highly doubt we'll see Korra chi blocking anytime soon.

She needs to learn metal bending from the True Master, Magneto :P

Why not that'd be literally 'learning from her enemies'.

Was it just me or did Kuvira have a more difficult time against Korra's airbending than Korra's fire and earth?

And Korra probably shouldn't even try to use earth versus Kuvira. Kuvira absolutely rules the earth.

Well they did say Earth and Air were opposites in ATLA, so I guess it's the same principle for Metal-Benders

i like korras story arc. its a story that says, some of the worst villains are those whose ideals get away from them. from amons equality hardon to kuviras unity ladyboner, you understand what theyre doing, but theyve lost themselves. their actions betray their cause. and thats why theyre the bad guys.

I believe the more actuate unit of measurement you're looking for would be in Zhu Li's per second.

Watching that Kuvira vs Korra fight, you can really appreciate how Kuvira mastered neutral jing, waiting for the right moment to strike. She fights a bit like Toph did when she was first introduced in Atla.

You can also appreciate how Korra mastered the art of getting her butt kicked. Nobody's quite as good as her in that department.

Varrick is my favorite character now.

He's got more balls than every member of the cast put together.

Well yeah, if Korra had used the air scooter instead of standing on the ground and letting Kurvira trip her like a scrub, she could have ruined Kuvira's s***.

Or collapse her lungs.

Or create a vacuum and choke her out.

Or...Man...I could give Zaheer a run for his money...
