whats funny about korras opponents is, she cant spiritbend away their methods. you can take away someones bending, but she cant just press her thumb against kuviras 4head then have her not take over metal city.

Kuvira said she could use anything.
So she could Spirit bend her power away, then drop a very large rock on her legs. Smashing the bones into a billion pieces. Permanently crippling Kuvira for life, humiliating her and de-moralizing the entirety of her army.

Korra: I'll defeat you for Justice!
Darth Kuvira: ****** please a lesser Avatar is not going to take me down mid season, now run along so you can get your groove back and stop embarrassing yourself.

Pretty much.
Then Darth Kuvira takes over Republic City while Korra's on yet another vision quest and the remaining members of the Gaang have to team up to show this poor world what the friends of a worthy Avatar can do.
After the crisis has been resolved Korra returns to try and resume her duties, slips on a banana, breaks her neck, and the world crosses its fingers and hopes the next Avatar is better.

Nah, Korra's hand has already been cut off. Now she needs to go to Jabba's Palace and rescue her friends.

Nah, the world's officially written her off, now they're just hoping to get to the next Avatar as soon as possible. He/She can't possibly be any worse.

So Korra will not be the heroine of the season, again... Jinora or Meelo are going to do something awesome to beat Kuvira and save the day. SMH.
Learn from your enemies Korra! Your enemies!

The writers should end this season with a rampaging Toph who annihilates Kuvira and her army Godzilla style. Also, did anyone else notice some similarities between Kiyoshi's conflict with Chin the Conqueror and Korra's with Kuvira? It's a shame that she lost her connection to the past avatars since it could have been an interesting convo.
I think that if the writers are smart enough they'll figure out a way to have Korra reconnect with her past lives.

They really should. All that knowledge being lost is just sad.
It's not lost. The Tree of Time sees all.

God, I wish Korra could summon Kyoshi's spirit in the final battle. Kyoshi would absolutely wreck Kuvira. She was by far my favorite of the previous avatars. The writers should end this season with a rampaging Toph who annihilates Kuvira and her army Godzilla style. Okay, semi-serious predictions, I think it's a given that Republic City is going to be Kuvira's next stop (Probably a Finale event), we'll get to see her new magitek weapons, Korra will have an epiphany with Asami's help (May or may not include outright Korrasami) I sorta doubt she'll get her past lives back but it would be nice. No idea what else will happen.
Asami will reveal her own ironwoman suit that her father has been thinking about since he's been in prison.

I'm telling y'all Korra is going to pull a Dark Knight Returns vs the Mutant Leader Pt II on Kuvira. She going to waterbend the **** out of the earth around her. Then she's going to brag about how she learned how Kuvira fought in their first fight. Then she's going to Chi block Kuvira and brag about how she learned that from Amon's Chi-blockers. Then she's going to beat her ass. All this takes place in Republic City in front of the Earth Empire's army. And when she wins all of them bow down to Korra who didn't need to use the Avatar state to beat her greatest enemy to date.

Sounds like a Wombo Combo, but that ain't Falco. Perhaps Korra will use Happy Feet? I hope Opal gets in the defeated Kuvira's face and starts yelling, "Where you at? Where you at? Get yo ass whooped." Someone should do the Wombo Combo for Korra's defeat against Kuvira.

I'd sure like to see the avatar win with something other then the avatar state. A cunning combination of all the elements with some all natural martial arts would be a treat to me. I've often thought the avatar should mix the elements together such as using air and fire to do more then just glide but to actually fly. We've seen that fire bending can produce enough propulsion to help a light air craft take off after all.
Really using fire and air in unison should be fairly common. I know in most games featuring magic it's fairly natural to use air to super charge your fire ball or create a wave of fire.
We've also seen things like during the pro bending match they were able to hide rocks inside the water to make it more effective. The avatar should be able to do that without a partner. That or perhaps use air binding and water to suck all the heat out of the environment and freeze someone. Though technically that should be doable with just water if you can prevent the molecules from moving.
