OMG
The Korrasami is strong with this one... AND I LIKE IT! ![]()
We're, what, just over halfway through the season? Hopefully plenty of time to take this a little further. I've had a good feeling about this plotline ever since Korra wrote that letter to Asami and nobody else.
Still don't like Wu, I'm guessing that living with Bolin and Mako's family will give Wu the perspective to be a just ruler when he's inevitably plopped onto the Earth Kingdom throne.
And Varrick definitely deserves his own show. ![]()

I don't know...
I get what you're saying about her not being sympathetic now that I think on it a little more, but does she need to be then? Most villains cut down tree's to make way for industry or pollution.
Kuvira's making a nuke/reaper!
Regardless, I doubt it's due to Nick. If anything, they've been hands off through-out Korra's airtime.
I'm still holding off on deciding if she's a good villain or simply an external parallel to Korra's inner struggle, at least till we see her plan start to crumble around her and she starts to lose. She's been calm, tactical, and manipulative up till now and everything has gone her way. How she handles failure will define her for me.

Just in case you're not being sarcastic... No it isn't over next episode, it's actual 12 episodes long this season, still 5 more to go.

You didn't get the point of that statement. It wasn't really a shot at them. More of a recognition of the type of shows they greenlight for their younger audience. Where the antagonists are painted more in the wrong so that the typical viewer finds it easier than not to root for the protagonist and anyone associated with them.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I think that Korra does a bit better than some shows in at least painting the antagonists as having at least some point to make. That's (what I thought) Toph's point in the swamp was; Amon, Unalaq, and Zaheer all had some admirable qualities, but ultimately lacked balance in their efforts to help the world.

I agree. Which is already a step up from the norm. They're not irredeemably "Mwahahahaha *twirls mustache*" evil. As I mentioned with Kuvira, she's perfectly justified in her goal. I'm just disappointed they seemed to have, in a very typical fashion, gone the route of making her an unsympathetic antagonist.

If they even tried something like that, I'd suspect it'd be a good while after Kuvira's either beaten or her reign is somehow brought back to balance.how many episodes until Korra and Asami kiss?
There's slight sympathy due to her backstory, but her execution is in not-so-much territory. I think they've done well with Kuvira juxtaposed with the competitors in current family-oriented TV.I'm just disappointed they seemed to have, in a very typical fashion, gone too far in making her an unsympathetic antagonist.
Mmhm. Book 3 and 4 are generally considered high-quality.I haven't watched since the end of Season 2. Has this show gotten better?

I can get behind that. I think (as an antagonist) Kuvira is there more to provide a mirror for Korra, but she could be better in some respects. I was disappointed to hear that after "conquering" territories, they simply leave them to their fate at the hands of bandits. I would hope that one advantage of the tyranny Kuvira employs would be that she doesn't have a tolerance for chaos and disorder.
