The impression I got was an incredibly compassionate friendship for one another. It actually feels more impacting for me when I look at it like that - similar to Frozen - sisterly love. Yes there are romances, and it'd be fine if that was their intention. But I think there's a level of love in a friendship that weirds people out. I'd want to be able to kiss my friend on the cheek without it being weird. I'd like to hold his/her hand without it being an invitation for anything more than the simple act of holding hands. I want to express my love for them.

 

Enough with the romantic. Pure love, in all forms, is raw and beautiful.

 

That's what I thought the show was showing at the end. Whether or not they end up together seems to be left up to the one watching.

While I agree with you to an extent, I don't exactly want to look into my "just" friends eyes deeply while holding both of their hands in mine as we go off to explore a whole new world alone together...  

 

The ending is almost exactly to same to Airbender, the only difference is the camera pans out before they kiss

Well the subtext is over, I am surprised Nick let them keep that last scene.  It was an ok end to Kuvira but to be honest I think most fans won't care. Confirmation of Korrasami would overshadow any ending no matter how good or bad.

One of the things I found very cool was Korra containing the Spirit blast.

As far as Avatar feats go, I think that one act topped them all.

She basically contained a nuclear explosion and focused it into a single point, and punched a hole through dimensions.

That...... Was pretty crazy. Serious display of power right there.

Legend of Korra has been pretty good, maybe a little rough around the edges, but all in all I enjoyed the whole show.

 

Pretty sad that they won't be continuing with the cartoon.

I smell victory .But makes me wonder how some parents will react to this ? there's always stupid people complaning about LGBT so its possible some people would get butthurt over this.+people who love other ships included but thats normal. I mean I'm really suprised Nick allowed us to see it,even with no kiss I jumped from my chair when they were holding hands

Holy **** KorraXAsami is canon  ...........Awesome(now for BubbleLine anyone?) but damn that was ballsy. Now i wish i shipped them seriously lol. Man im going to miss the avatar universe. Hope they continue it someday. Great series with a great ending.

Nick has allowed companies to put some pretty weird ****/adult humor in their cartoons in the past like not dropping the soap/sea anenomaoenaename 'porn' in Spongebob.

Uhg  I know.  Their relationship is the most developed and complex among all of the Avatar crew. 

 

I always got the sense that Asami liked Korra. Even in season one when she knew that Korra liked her boyfriend she was always kind and even respected Korra, and seemed to desperately want Korra to be her friend and give her the same respect.  She even puts Korra ahead of Mako in her conversation with him when she says, "Look I like Korra," which is a totally strange for someone at the age she was. Asami is such an amazing lady, Korra is so lucky, they really compliment each other well.  Plus there was all that build up in season 3, and the 3 years of letters!

Kinda refreshing how "cool pretty boy" ends up alone for once while Bolin "buttmonkey" gets the girl.
