My opinion on the ending.... Surprise because I did not see it coming and that it reminded me my first play through of DAO when my femWarden ask Liliana if the end of the story does the hero gets the girl.(She ironically dark skinned and bisexual.)

I've started watching season 4. I'm enjoying it, Korra and Toph was pretty fun. Kuvira being just another wacko was disappointing but I knew that going in.

So binge-watched the entire season today and it was a solid season. Was great to see Toph and to see Kuvira do rather well in her role. Varrick and Zhu Li though! They did the thing!

Maybe it's just me, but I still didn't get the impression of more than friendship between those two. I've seen their friendship evolve over the seasons, and I've always really appreciated the fact they remained respectful towards each other - but never once did the thought of them having a romantic relationship cross my mind.

 

There's never really been a strong indication of them being lesbians, or even bisexual. It's just very hard for me to see it.

 

However, if the creators come out and say "yeap, they're together." ok then. That's what they wanted.

Why? Some people like Korrasami; some people view it as pandering. I thought "shipping wars" didn't actually involve 'war', Of all the things folks could argue on the internet about this is one of the stupidest. Just let the Korrasami people have their day.

Agreed. Even if you don't like the ship itself, consider it a big victory for the LGBT community.

My problem is that it not implied as much until the end. Give me the romance part of the romanced. I just feel that I missed something. Personally, I'm fine with them being together.

That's interesting if they changed the ending. I liked the idea of them together, it felt right, & it would be a nice out for the end of such a troubled series.... & the spiteful part of me wanted it to happen just to hold it over Nick forever. Forever.

Gravity Falls recently had something similar go down, but in reverse... it seems there was originally going to be an elderly lesbian couple in the Love God episode, but that was later changed. Disney nipped that one in the bud.

Too much to hope that this Korra business will lighten the tension about lgbt characters for this demographic? Be interesting to watch the response... & if there are multiple versions of the ending, perhaps Nick will only air the other version?

Holy ****. I've been shipping korrasami since book 1, but I thought it wasn't going to become a reality.
