Because Bolin's her friend. Korra and Asami's relationship is obviously on a different scale. But not to a point that's it's obvious that they're romantically involved.

And even then Bolin's friend ship is enough to worry about him dying as well and stating it.
It amuses me that people are just going ahead with that pairing as if it's definitive.

I just realized I can stop calling Korra a scrub (sort of) since she finally went toe-to-toe with Kuvira without needing the Avatar state. I'm proud of her for that.

The Korra/Asami pairing was about as blunt as they could make it on the platform they had. Not to mention the parallels between it and the Aang/Katara ending from TLA.
People need to accept that and let go of their earthly tethers.
