@Hanako: I was half kidding.
But Kuvira did kill a lot of people, maybe even on par with Unavaatu. ![]()

Criticize away. I don't think AtLA or LoK do romance especially well. My reaction's just to try to fix it. There's a difference between saying it's abrupt and criticizing how it was done and accusing the writers of pandering because it was done at all.
It is fanservice though, I can understand people being slightly bothered (not anything more than that) by that aspect of it but at the end of the day its really not a big deal. Fanservice pretty much shows up everywhere in some shape or form.
Fair point on span of time, but the rest is baseless. We're not given details on what they tell anyone, and it was clear that some time had passed before they left. As for inviting others, what for? They wanted it to just be the two of them (for reasons that seem obvious enough to me). Besides, they're not obligated to tell people where they are all the time if they want to be alone. I don't tell friends when I'm on vacation all the time. It's not that important and it's not their business.
Actually, Korra is obligated to tell people where she is at all times. She inherited that responsibility by being born the Avatar. But Korra abandons her responsibilities for months to go on adventures in the Spirit World with Asami, leaving the world without an Avatar yet again. I'm not surprised since this is the same Korra who lied to people about where she was for months while she wandered, but she had supposedly overcome that when she reclaimed herself as being the Avatar after removing the remaining poison remnants in her system.
I've no idea.
I'm pretty sure the avatar is allowed to go on vacation.
A very long 5 year vacation!
@Hanako: I was half kidding.
But Kuvira did kill a lot of people, maybe even on par with Unavaatu.
I figured, but wanted to discuss something I actually liked about the finale.
Nah, UnaVattu killed more between the civil war between the Water Tribes and when he became a Human Reaper human/spirit hybrid. Though Zaheer probably is the villain with the most blood on his hands, both directly from the chaos that came through the Earth Kingdom being in a state of anarchy and indirectly since without him the Kuvira thing would never have happened. This is counting only LoK villains of course since Fire Lord Sozen easily has the largest body count since he wiped out an entire people save for a boy in an iceberg.
That sure is a reach, and I gotta call BS on that. After saving the city and such, I think she earned a bit of a break. Man, such downer. Very depress.
Bit of a break =/= months long vacation in another realm.
Society did just fine while avatar surfer dude was around, so I think it can handle Korra going away for a few months or years.

Lol is the world likely to end all of a sudden? Come on. This ain't the Night's Watch or some nonsense.
Well, considering there was three world-threatening things that happened within a year in this series...![]()

True, but those happened when Korra was in Republic City. Consider that when she went away, nothing happened for three years. ![]()
*Snip*
I'm sorry, but I can't help myself.
Liam is gonna kill me.
Liam is gonna kill me.
Where did that come from? ![]()
Where did that come from?
Because the persons Username is the character in the songs name.
You need to play Katawa Shoujo to really get it,
Also so it can rip your heart out.
Society did just fine why'll avatar surfer dude was around, so I think it can handle Korra going away for a few months or years.
You mean the same Avatar whose love was stolen from him by Koh the Face-Stealer and warns Aang about how procrastinating as the Avatar is bad? Not the best example. ![]()

So in other words, the Spirit World is doomed to suffer catastrophe after catastrophe while the human world is fine? ![]()

*sigh* Really?
*sigh* Really?
Like I said, couldn't help myself.
But to be on topic. I don't see much a problem with Korra and Asami hanging out in the Spirit World. If a threat comes up Jinora can always go there in spirit form and tell them. It's not much of a problem. Especially given that spirit portal that's now right in the middle of Republic City.
So in other words, the Spirit World is doomed to suffer catastrophe after catastrophe while the human world is fine?
Pff, the spirits can always switch between worlds if trouble's headed their way. They'll be fine.

Yeah, he was a joke. Society was fine though I thought. All his problems were of the personal nature and due to him being fool. Society was going through peaceful period wasn't it? Who knows maybe I imagined all this.
And now I'm imagining Asami getting her face stolen by Koh. As if I needed that before going to bed. Thanks Korra thread.
They could always get Kohs mom to give Asami a new one.
...That's not a joke or anything. That happened in the Last Airbender comics.
LOL. Sweet dreams....
