I think that the writers just intermittently forget that it's possible.Seagloom wrote...
I attribute that to what Deviija suggested earlier about Lin being a metal bending specialist. I imagine that applies to her men too. They do not even refer to themselves as earth benders.

There might be some pills that can help with that.Savber100 wrote...

It would take longer than its worth to go into detail, long story short.
A Legendary criminal or killer that kills snitches or always escapes when caught, a very bad very violent man, who while very smart, is also well very violent lulz.
So a mysterious bad ass stranger, or a mockery, whichever you prefer. Lot more to it though, but unless you seen the film with this character or know much about various mobs its kinda pointless.

Just watch The usual Suspects. It´s worth it, especially as it seems you don´t know much about the movie.
Never even heard of it to be honest.

Yeah like he said look at the film or read into mob culture, but yeah if you've been called that by someone not a criminal or some such more so on the net, its ment as an insult. Basically calling you the god father, but everything bad about it. More like Criminal Scum that thinks its bad or some such.
Now i'm even more insulted. Then again, this was on the Kane and Lynch 2 forums, so maybe it is a good thing? I did achieve scum rating in multiplayer after all
Anyway, sorry for diverting this off-topic.

Possibly. I'm not inclined to think so in this situation. After all the trouble Hiroshi went through to protect against earthbending, I expect even the floor was accounted for. Lin tried to bend the wall Sato raised to seal everyone in to no avail. It was probably the same with everything in there. He clearly understood enough about earthbending and "metalbending" to exploit its weakness. In my opinion that scene was too integral to the plot for such a blatant oversight, besides.

I'm thinking it's mostly because they're used to fight with metal-bending, so they tried that first, and ended up being defeated before they could adapt their fighting strategy.
However, I agree that it's rather silly that Sato would go through the trouble of having an unbendable gate, but not do anything about the ground.

Yeah but there needed to be some kind of escape route/plot device.

Maybe he ran out of metal? lol
I'm most comfortable with King of Dust's interpretation since it best fits the metalbending specialist route; which was how I originally took it. Otherwise the mind boggles. XD
You would think he should have been able to cover the floor if he can spare enough metal to build an army of these mechs.
If Asami is up to something, then she is the best spy I have ever seen in an animated program. She seems to have tragic heroine written all over her now. My money is on Hiroshi dying or being incapacitated before this is over, and Asami having to grow up fast as she takes over Future Industries. Alternatively, they could reconcile and have a happy kid show friendly resolution. Meh... that's probably just as likely given LoK is on Nick.
To me it would be a weird twist to have her outed as a traitor after all that dramarama.

Team Korra rolls out! Can't wait for this Saturday's episode as it looks like we can expect some good old fashioned retaliatory violence from Korra and company. Maybe they can finally start kicking butt instead of having it handed to them.
Huge downer on leaving Naga behind, though! I like the car but c'mon! How do you leave behind an adorable polar bear-dog?!
