While I could be wrong I think LoK just won at least one award in IGN's Best of 2014 awards going by this video:

OMG! Netflix has incorporated the first season of TLoK to its programming, at least in my region. Pity it's in Spanish but I got the BD anyway.

You're the Avatar, the only being in the world who can master all four elements: water, earth, fire, and air. It is your job to bring balance to the world and act as the bridge between the human and spirit realms. The first Avatar, Wan, closed the portals that connected the human and spirit worlds but you, Korra, decided to leave them open at the end of Book Two. The game deals with the fallout of your decision as an ancient enemy of the Avatar returns to the human world intent on destroying the Avatar.

Actually it seems like its a little better than American these days. More anime at least. I'm just curious about others.

It's definitely gotten better, especially in the anime department. We have Steins;Gate. USA doesn't have that. We also have every episode of FMA Brotherhood unlike US Netflix.
