Why does Zuko get to be alive but Sokka is dead? T_T I was hoping before I watched LoK that Sokka would be the new crazy old guy like a second coming of Bumi. But nooooo... :<Seagloom wrote...
I like his hair.It was an awesome moment for me, tho'. Zuko is still alive by the way. According to that Republic City flash thingie on Nick's website, he stepped down as Firelord years back and now travels the world as an ambassador working towards peace. He's just ooold now.

Why not drop bombs with the anti-bending gas and THEN assault the city?

I think they couldn't figure out precisely how Sokka would act after he was 100.Seagloom wrote...
Probably because Sokka was a normal guy. Master benders apparently live a very long time. Avatar Kiyoshi died at 230. O.o Bumi was over a century old and built like an adonis from the neck down. Or maybe they just decided Sokka being around was too much awesome to contain. I adore Bolin, but stealing the show from Sokka? Not gonna happen. >.>
I think that his living room would be cluttered with boomerangs. And he'd always be complaining about how they wouldn't let him have meat.

I've wonderd that unless they don't have much gas or worry about civilian fatalities. After all he's preaching equality. Not mass killing sprees. Plus its a kid show, it'll be like GI joe. We'll see battleships sinking and on fire, yet the whole crew lives.

There's plenty of world leaders who want the good stuff but go about it the wrong way. Look in the history books. I was happy to see Sokka at least as a council in a memory he was STILL smokin' hot and funny as heck!

- Iroh fighting and flying around in a way reminiscent of Azula.
- Everything Bolin did.
- Asami standing up to her father and coming into her own as a character. I like her a lot more outside the love triangle plot. I also loved that she ultimately did not fall to the dark side in a trite "plot twist". Really glad she stuck to her convictions and proved she was more than Mako's girlfriend.
- Naga shined in every action scene she was in.
- Amon's backstory was a bit meh in terms of content, but I still found myself feeling sad for him and Pony Tails Man in the end. That final scene on the boat was the second most powerful moment of the finale. I guess PTM figured it was time to end the cycle their father began. Downright tragic.
Criticisms...
- Korra having every element removed except airbending, then somehow overpowering Amon enough to send him propelling from a window. She couldn't touch him with three mastered elements. Suddenly she was able to overcome him with one she barely has skill in using. Then Amon stupidly waterbends out to save his life when he could have easily swam to the surface. Did he like, completely forget about maintaining his deception? Someone depicted as being so cunning acting so foolish was a bit out of character.
- Mako and Asami's breakup was sort of not there.
- Tenzin's family being captured with no explanation felt like unnecessary drama. There was already enough going on there. I guess they needed a reason to include him in the finale, though.
---
All in all, a great pair of episodes. As I wrote earlier, I had tears in that last scene when Korra becomes a fully realized and everything that followed. It was nice to see a genuinely happy ending.

Ah, did it work for you already? I tried tv-links a little while ago and didn't notice any streams available. But then, I'm also inept.

Oh hi BF!! I bought you all this stuff but *shrugs* Idc go run off with Korra, no nevermind to me, don't even offically break up, its kay.
Amon I thought the way that was delt with was cheap. And a cliff hanger at that. Remember when Hitler had a bomb go off right next to him, it didn't kill him. So Amon, or w/e his name is now, may be fish food. Or might come back as a part 2-3 villian.
And just the whole
"Lol Here, your sad, we come to help you kay?" I mean...just so anti-climatic imo.
And while I'm not surprised...I just wish not every pilot was shown parachuting away, heck even in AtLAB some folks weren't seen again, namely tankers or the Fire nation navy at the North Pole.
But I did like most of the espisode. Just parts of it...well rushed, and wasn't that well written. Reminds me of some Videogames I've played as of late.
