WHAT!?
Preying Mantis
Hung Gar
Toph
Praying Mantis is a Northern style and has its roots in Shaolin Boxing. Hung Gar is a Southern style, and it's evident by the animals it emulates, the tiger and Crane. And if my analysis isn't enough.
Here's the creators of the show talking about Hung Gar as the mother of Earth Bending
Some of the bending applications get a little too meta for me.
air bending should be able to pinch arteries in a human body connecting the brain to the heart and kill someone with less effort than lifting a pen. Or combust the air in the lung's aveoli

Toph's Earth Bending style is different from all other Earth Benders (just like Azula's style is different from other Fire Benders). Here's a quote from the avatar wiki :
Toph's earthbending style was based on Chu Gar Southern Praying Mantis
Kung Fu, which is a style that is apparently unique to her; the style of
earthbending used by other earthbenders is rooted in the Hung Gar style
of Kung Fu. She was the only bender known to use a style based on a
different root martial art than the standard for their bending art. This
may be because she was self-taught rather than trained in the
traditional earthbending form. Toph came to develop her unique style by
observing the movements of the also blind earthbending badgermoles that
could be found in the caves around her hometown.
Taken from:
avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Toph_Beifong
Edit: Maybe not after all. I just rewatched "The Essence of Bending" on the bonus disc of the 2nd season collection, and they only mention Azula's style being slightly different. No mention of Toph. Some of her stances/movements look close to what's show in your Praying Mantis video, but then again a lot of them look close to Hung Gar, so maybe you're right and the wiki's all wrong. There's no denying that her stance is different from other Earth Benders however.

Azula uses Northern boxing, like Zuko, but also uses Wushu.

Also, I just realized that the Last Airbender had 20 episodes, compared to 12, I wonder why. I really love this series, but I just miss some of the build up and pacing, compared to the last one. I thought it would of been better if Mako and Asami stuck together throughout the season - plus why was Mako able to get out of Amon's grasp, compared to other, more experienced and talented benders? IMO, they're trying too build up too much with too little detail, so I'm not connecting to the characters as I am with the last series because of the lack of build up, development, whatever. I understand it's a kid's show as well, but as shown with the last series, any age is able to watch and connect with it, but I find the older you get, the more you catch on, as I watched The Last Airbender twice and appreciated it more the second time because I was older and related to the themes more. Though, I do love the way they're trying to establish modern technology vs bending, with the way the chi-blockers were using those gloves and machines, great concept, but again, now that Amon is gone, what was the point of the build up.
ps. I love the way Aang looks in his older age, looks badass.
pps. The soundtrack is beautiful, there were moments were it really hit me - Korra's talk with Tenzin about being okay to talk about your fears and such, as an example.

Not a clue what they're doing with the next season, already blew all of my speculation out of the water. Had a little denouement there with all the loose ends but whether Asami and Mako are breaking up or not.

A total cop-out in almsot every deparment. So sad. So much potential was there.
But then they had to go all kid-friendly and play bad tropes one after another.
From Hero Gets the Girl (Aang and Katara? He's 12 dammit! TWELVE!!!)
to
Thou Shall Not Kill (and Aang new power)
Frak it. It is dead to me.
And seeing the setting of Legend of Kora is all "modernized" it appeals to me even less.

Personally, I think I'd have had Zuko behead Ozai during the eclipse, with Azula as the next Big Bad. But I think that ending your show with a twelve-year-old ripping out the evil king's heart and stomping on it would be a little, well, off-message for a hero myth.Lotion Soronnar wrote...
Thou Shall Not Kill (and Aang new power)
Aang's temperamental and cultural rejection of killing was actually one of the more realistically handled character arcs, just wasn't resolved in an intentionally cynical way.

My issue with Aang's character development isn't that he sticks to his morals. It's that the writers seemed to cop out regarding his resolution. Throughout the series, characters say Aang has to "defeat" the Firelord. It's not until Zuko uses the word "kill" during the finale that we are suddenly introduced to this plot point. Even as a twelve year-old, Aang had to realize what the implications of his battle with Ozai were. Aang being a pacifist/vegetarian were more character traits until the story decided to turn it into a major plot point.
If Aang had been agonizing over this potential outcome earlier, it would have felt more believable. But even with Day of Black Sun, at which point Aang expected to be facing Ozai, the thought still had not occurred to him.

I like that Bolin is getting a love interest. Because I sure as hell don't care about whatever happens to Mako. Not digging Asami's new outfit. I was hoping more business power suit than skirt suit, but whatevs.
This season doesn't seem to have a clear villain. Unless it's this "Dark Spirit" Grey DeLisle is voicing. ~Waits for the inevitable out there theories on it being somehow linked to Azula~

How about Baroness met with a unfortunate accident with one of Cobra's world domination plots and now she is looking to set up shop in this new world?
I just hope this gets 20+ episodes.

Book two is getting fourteen episodes. Nick has already ordered twenty-six more after seeing the viewers book one drew in. So we're guaranteed a lot more Korra.
