Ninjas in the Avatarverse? I dont know if it would work. Maybe if Ray Park gets to voice Snake Eyes.

Book two with 14 and 26 total?

I am worried they will try to tie the first season into something larger. After some time I think I would prefer it being left alone or at the most Amon was a tool. The whole season was so cut and dry. Amon is the baddie, his borther causes some side trouble and adds some twists.

No more thinking for me. It has been ungodly hot the past two months.

26 episodes following book two's 14. In total we are getting at least 52 episodes. Almost as much as AtLA had.

I'm not worried they will do that with season two, at least. Commentary and hints suggest book one and two are separate stories. I believe the idea is currently to tell a self-contained arc each book instead of linking them together AtLA style. Then again, knowing they have 26 episodes in the pipeline will probably tempt them to go with a longer arc for book three and four. Since book two is already well underway, it's too late for them to start laying down groundwork now. As always, time will tell. XD

Sorry to [ry but where is this commentary or hints? There was supposed to be this whole "legend of Korra with notes" going on on nick but I have DirectTV and before it started Viacom pulled their channels.
Spike (not a big lose other then their Star Wars marathons) Comedy central (I can catch up on the daily show online) and all the nickelodeon channels.
Not having NIck is like losing a hand. Nick was there when I was playing pong and a television that used vacum tubes and had a vinyl record player in it.

Sorry nostalgia happens

It was mentioned in an interview the creators did. I'd link it except I haven't seen it, so I'm going on faith it's true and not internet rumor mongering BS. I don't keep up with these things much. The only reason I knew of the SDCC stuff was because a YouTuber I subscribe to mentioned it.

I wish I had something concrete to point you toward.

I don't know. Maybe in the videos? That information was in the wiki site I linked to on the last page. I'm too tired to watch them right now. Last time I make a point based on possible hearsay. ;p

I'm just going to phone this one in and concede the story could go either way out of sheer laziness.

Oh I missed the link. Some looks the same but I will see for myself. And no matter what anyone else tells you laziness is not overrated. Having 15 minutes to be lazy is greater then anything else man has ever conceived.

Except waffles.

If Korra is anything like AtLA, then this second book is going to take this series to brand new heights. It's exciting, really.

Personally, I kind of doubt that, but that's probably because I already saw book one of Korra as this series' Ba Sing Se arc.

Like said arc, though, I do get the impression that "Spirits" is gonna be quite the change of pace and scenery, something which I'll welcome.

Momo was the last of the Flying Lemurs during the Fire Nation's massacre of the Air Nomads. So he survived a hundred years in the Eastern Air Temple until Aang got there and survived quite some time longer. So I guess he's like a tortoise.

He's gotta be somewhere around 100 years old. I'd love to see another lemur be a part of the new Team Avatar but I guess Pabu fills that mischievous animal role.

I think one of the main differences between this show and AtLA is the former had more of a "fugitivite on the run" sort of feel to it. He was in constant danger, any corner he turned could have an enemy waiting around it. I really didn't get that kind of vibe from this show. I mean sure, Korra's enemies were dangerous. The only times she got caught was when she did things stupid though. I don't really know how to explain it.

He has the same name as the crystal eater; Bumi. I'm pretty sure Tenzin's the only Bender out of Aang's three kids.

I just hope they finish up with professional bending for a while.

So any word on when the Next book will air? Or if it will stop at two books?

On that nore, I wonder if the LT will show up again, aka Mr Mustache. Or Amon. I mean rule number one, if you don't see a body never say they are dead. Unless its a nuke then its a safe bet to make.

I'm on book 3 where the prisoner in the cooler get caught and Sokkas dad is seen. Can't believe I did not watch this show. Zuko is my favourite character out of the gang. Toph is cool too.

Anyone know where I can get tips to draw in the art style?

Lol they used to have some little commerical break shorts that showed how, could try looking for it on youtube. It was very simple as I recall. The Art style I mean.

Also started reading on the Characters more so in the "After the Hundred Year War " Section so many changes. General Iroh is apperantly Zuko's Grandson, I'm surprised someone so Young is a General.

Thou Shall Not Kill (and Aang new power)

Personally, I think I'd have had Zuko behead Ozai during the eclipse, with Azula as the next Big Bad. But I think that ending your show with a twelve-year-old ripping out the evil king's heart and stomping on it would be a little, well, off-message for a hero myth.

Aang's temperamental and cultural rejection of killing was actually one of the more realistically handled character arcs, just wasn't resolved in an intentionally cynical way.

My issue with Aang's character development isn't that he sticks to his morals. It's that the writers seemed to cop out regarding his resolution. Throughout the series, characters say Aang has to "defeat" the Firelord. It's not until Zuko uses the word "kill" during the finale that we are suddenly introduced to this plot point. Even as a twelve year-old, Aang had to realize what the implications of his battle with Ozai were. Aang being a pacifist/vegetarian were more character traits until the story decided to turn it into a major plot point.

If Aang had been agonizing over this potential outcome earlier, it would have felt more believable. But even with Day of Black Sun, at which point Aang expected to be facing Ozai, the thought still had not occurred to him.

It seems that Bryke has trouble with endings. The ending of ATLA ends with a blatant cop out (we only get one hint of the ending, and even then we are not told how it would help.) and Korra ends with an even worse one.

With Korra... *spoilers ahead*

I just don't feel they resolved it right. She was shown for the entire series to be disconnected with her spirituality and due to her nature unable to airbend. Yet out of nowhere after she loses all of her bending she can suddenly bend air, and suddenly Aang can come and just fix all her problems away?

Yeesh.

Lol that part of the ending was rather bad. As was Amon's death, that was like watching an ep of Jackass on MTV.

I don't think Amon is dead, is it confirmed? That is one hell of a stupid way to end him.
