I just recently watched Season 1 with some of my friends - finally. I really liked it! Although I have to say the ending confused us. We were all expecting Korra to spend a good deal of Season 2 in the Spirit realm, trying to find a way get back all of her powers. Instead it was all "yeah, here's your powers back, also you can heal everyone else". Now I've just seen the S2 trailer for the first time, and it kinda looks exactly like I'd have imagined it if they had left out the last two scenes or so of S1. What is going on?

I think everyone expected that but the problem was that the show's creators didn't know if there would be a season 2 so they decided to tie all loose ends in the last episode of the season.

Okay, I wasn't sure at what point they knew there'd be more seasons. For some reason I thought they already knew during the making of S1, not right from the start, but before they finished it. Anyways, Season 2 looks nice!

That is basically the consensus of the general complaints - either the pacing or how it ended (not that it was a bad ending, it just ended like it wasn't going to be more than one season). I'm really excited, as I found watching season one again was even more enjoyable than the first time, since I started noticing a lot of little things and even certain parallels from ATLA.
I believe Korra is being approached at a much more mature sense to the series as well, so I'm excited - having a suicide scene on Nickelodeon... that is pretty intense.
