Big news! The Legend of Korra video game is launching this Fall on XOne and X360 (via Xbox Game Store), PS3 and PS4 (via PlayStation Network) and Steam…and YOU can pick the packaging. Check out these concept art designs and let us know which should be the final cover art…GO!

#2 for me. Like seeing the four elements represented.

Finished Season 2 last week: Disappointing but enjoyable. The flashback to the first Avatar was an excellent double-ep that shows just how good the show is when you focus on the right stuff. Hopefully Season 3 is without the romance stuff.
Agreed about the romance, it's nice to have but they over did it big time.
And a video game? How exciting.
That Korra videogame developped by Platinum sounded promising. Until I read that Activision is the publisher.
Maybe it'll be good. Miracles happen sometimes. Not holding my breath though. Doubt I'll play it anyway because the chances of it being released DRM-Free are almost non-existant.
The trailer: (no gameplay unfortunately)

My general worry about it is that it's a downloadable game, and there generally don't seem to have been any word about it until now, when it's just about to be released. It speaks of a similar fate to that of most video games based on a licensed product -- Stick of Truth had the advantage of not just Trey and Matt being completley involved, but also a good cooperation with Obsidian and 100 % commitment to make as of a good game as possible.
Let's see how this one holds up.
Dammit, it's Platinum. Now I can't hate it.

Cool -- Perhaps this'll be another case of South Park Stick of Truth. There's potential for greatness here.
As long as Activi$ion doesn't rush the game

Yeah, I think it's healthy to have lowered expectations here. Activision is notorious for what they did with Deadpool (basically, not giving any type of **** about the quality of the game, only the bottom line) and I think the best we can expect given the resources is a far more rudimentary version of typical Platinum combat (which could still be damn fun).

I think the issue is that Korra was supposed to be one season. Once more seasons were ordered they had to try and made an already-established romance interesting, and decided that the best way to do that would be have Korra be a huge B to Mako for half the season. Had 4 seasons been ordered from the start I think it's safe to say there would have been no "I Love Yous" exchanged at the end of Season 1.
Hell, even if they had stopped at Mako and Korra breaking up it might have recovered, but then they have Asami and Mako mackin while Korra's floating in a tiny pool of defibrillator water somewhere, then Korra comes back and Mako's like "what breakup lol" and you stop caring at some point.
And don't get me started on Bolin suddenly loving Eska at the end.
Anyway I've heard very positive reactions from the leaked footage of Korra Season 3, so I'm excited for a return to Season 1 form.
Hopefully more of this:

and less of this:

Ah, I did not know that, but I can see how not having planned ahead for that would have made romances difficult.
Asami was supposed to run off with Iroh in the original ending of the first season while Mako find out she was actually nearly 30. I'm okay with that ending.
Just have Korra date Tahno.
There all the romance stuff is 100% fixed.
Forever.
Yup.
But this series has always been awful with good pairing ideas.
They like the boring main guy and main girl thing too much.
Even when it makes little sense.
If I was some sort of shipper I would hate the writers.
LoK video game sounds cool, I hope they do hold up to their end of bargain. I know Act used to be cool and chill back then. but it went bad when they took over the CoD franchise back then.

Had no faith in the video game when Divine Justinia V first told me about it, then she linked me the article that said Platinum Games was developing it and I was like, "Oh sh*t!"
This could turn out to be something good.

Activision's not developing the game so... yeah
I doubt their worried about rushing this downloadable game to market on some cash grab type of thing.
