Mako's saving grace was the fact that at times he was the only one with a fully functioning brain during book two. Sure a lot of that is the other characters being plot stupid, but still.

He is a jerk, but he has his reasons, nor does that excuse Korra's actions in the past either. They're both flawed individually and that's why I like them, but personally, I'd rather they not commit to a romance, I think they would both grow stronger from their bond that they have, rather than making situations more tense with "Team Avatar".
Also on a side note, I heard they might release the soundtrack in July, but don't quote me - just saw a post on Tumblr or was it Youtube... I really want it though.
Yep. Mako was pretty rude to Korra at times. Korra's been rude to basically everyone at one point or another, mostly Tenzin though. I get that the writers are really pushing Korra as the anti-Aang but damn son.

Mako is the biggest douche and can't handle being with someone who questions his authority and I think both Korra and Asami finally realized this. If anyone ends up with a new character it should be Mako. I will be extremely upset if Korra ends up with him end game because it sends a bad message to young female viewers that it's ok to be with a guy like Mako.
And that's why she should go for Tahno.
He is better, hotter and better than Mako.
And if he can't be with Korra then I just want him on Team Avatar as a friend.
Give me something goddamn it.

Just finished watching the three episodes and I'm very excited for this season. Spiderwoman, Combustion Woman, AirJordan Man and Lava Lamp man. Exciting villians.... interesting to see their "advanced" bending at work.
I want a return of sparky sparky boom man. Or maybe this time it will be sparky sparky boom girl.

Spoiler
Also.
Once you see it.
Good one ![]()
Edit: Now I'm imaginning team avatar playing mario kart. Asami would win all the time, and Korra would probably ragequit after something like 3 races. She probably wouldn't even be able to complete a course, seeing how a race automatically ends when there's only one person left that hasn't reached the finish line.

The White Lotus rank and file are kind of useless, aren't they?
Here they were on a wooden prison in the middle of the ocean and none of them could summon a tidal wave?

They do seem to have a bad case of "stormtrooper syndrome". Even back in book 1 they were pretty useless.

What was up with that one prisoner guy pratically lavabending. I didn't know that earthbenders can heat earth? I thought that was a power exclusive to the avatar since they can both fire bend and earth bend...

Nick having awful issues with the schedule of an Avatar show?
Well that's nothing new.

Aren't they suppose to be elite benders or something?

Yeah, that's a bit odd to say the least. I'd better not see that again without a proper explanation.
I'd also like to know how leaving the portals open means more people suddenly become airbenders. After all, it was the lion turtles who originally gave people the ability to bend the elements not some mystical connection with the spirits, right?

Airbending has a deeper connection with spirituality then all of the other elements. I took it as harmonic convergence opened up their spiritual blocks. After all Korra herself had a hard time with Airbending...
The lavabending is pissing me off.... probably the only thing that rubbed me wrong in the new episodes...

If we're being real here Firebenders shouldn't even be able to use Lightning. Since Lightning is more related to air than fire anyway.
I see no difference with Lava, or Steam, if we ever wanted Steambenders at some point.

I can see it happening.

Technically lava is just melted earth, so he is somewhat legit
But I believe he may have been using spark rocks, not sure if any remembers those from Part 1

Just created a lot of fiction between all the rocks when spinning them to create fire?
But then again, those rocks would wear down real quick, but it is a cartoon so....yeah.

Finally got around to watching the new episodes and I liked it. They are setting up some nice conflicts, and I think its shaping up to be a pretty good season.
